I really need to take Ulfar with me more often... I found out that there is some dialog between Heinrix and Ulfar in Abelard's quest in act 4 that I missed before:

Now I want to know more, Heinrix... seriously, I would love to play as Heinrix in a game where we would go on missions alone or with the other acolytes.

Still, my favorite banter between them is this one - I simply love Heinrix's humor:

Rogue Trader - Heinrix changed voice over in intro

So, @anderish pointed out (thank you! I thought something was different but blamed my memory, but it turns out this was indeed changed), we have changed voice over in Heinrix intro dialog (when you recruit him in the Electrodynamic Cenobium).

He is now pronouncing his name differently.

I have created a video separted in parts where the old and new dialog is compared and at the end again specifically his name.

Rogue Trader - Act 2 Magnae Accessio - Heinrix if not romanced

So, as I am only ever romancing Heinrix (no regrets) I was interested in seeing what he has to say during the Magnae if he is not romanced.

Interestingly, while he does not outright warn you, you can notice something is not right and that he is hiding something.

Even if not romanced he would like to warn the RT but can't and fears the connection between them might get damaged ("wave of darkness") but he would still like to be allies. He is clearly concerned how this will affect the friendship or whatever is between him and RT.

And I wish we could have his comment about the guests in the romanced dialog too...

Rogue Trader - Heinrix - dialog act 2 - Kiava Gamma mission briefing

I don't know why but I find it adorable how he felt the need to inform everyone in the briefing that he knows a (in my opinion not really important) detail about the Kiava Gamma world that the vox master did not mention.

Rogue Trader - Act 3 - Heinrix + Achilleas/underlings spoiler

I am sorry, you did what?

This is the dialog you get at the beginning of act 3 if you follow the main quest and have Yrilet recruited (she is mandatory for this quest).

I mean, sure, he is an interrogator and primary torture specialist but the way he was caring about Achilleas (and in general we know he has a good/merciful heart) I actually thought he would treat (all of) "his" people good. One acolyte you can talk to later even says he was always such a "sentimental sweetheart" and "attached to his colleagues".

If you ask him about a gift for Jae he will give you advice and mentions how important such demonstrations are when you are dealing with informants.

Then again, later in act 3 (if you recruit Marazhai) you can find out that Achilleas was afraid of Heinrix but I don't think Heinrix has tortured him, he also speaks about him as agent and not underling.

Achilleas even knew a different acolyte (Emelina Lichtenhart) and was apparently (you get it from the same dialog as the one just mentioned) very fond of her.

The "underlings" are put in quotation marks so maybe he does not mean his spies/agents but xenos/traitors/cultists he tortures to get information, but it is an odd word to use here for this then.

So... I guess this is part of the reason why Heinrix if romanced will often say you are too generous and merciful to him.

Rogue Trader - Act 2 - Inquisition Signet Ring color

There are three different rings you can get from Lord Inquisitor Calcazar at the end of act 2. It depends on the dialog choices which one you get. Depending on your actions with the dealings on the planets (at least for Janus and Kiava Gamma) you have different options available.

We can check and change the values with toybox (mod on PC). But you can get the rings without mod too (at least I was able on pc right now).

The relevant flag is "InquisitirMercyCounter" .

You start the conversation with value 0. Depending on some choices, the value will decrease or stay at 0.

If you have value 0 you will get the black ring.

If you have value -1 you will get the red ring.

If you have value -2 or less you will get the white ring.

Relevant dialog choices:

First available dialog options

The first 4 options do not change the counter but the first 3 will not proceed with the dialog. So to not gain any negative values you would need to select the "If the Inquisition wishes to have a talk with me - I am glad to be at its service" line (it does look in toybox as it would decrease it but it doesn't). The others will decrease the counter by -1.

About Janus

If you allied with the Xenos you get these options:

The second option "In the face of heresy..." is the only one that does not decrease the counter.

if you killed the Xenos, you have these options:

Option 1 and 4 do not decrease the counter. 2 and 3 do.

About Kiava Gamma

If you blew up Kiava Gamma then you will have an additional line available which does not decrease the counter. Otherwise you can select the last option ("If I have erred...") to get out of this conversation without decreased counter.

About Drukhari

One option requires a lore check succeeded. Options 1, 2 and 4 do not decrease the counter, only "What can I say?... " does it.

That's it. You will get the ring and if you have value 0 you can also try a skill check (Commerce - 50) to get some more XP from Xavier.

With Dogmatic Adherent you can also kneel and ask to join the ranks of the inquisitor. This starts a InquisitorLoyal etude.

It might be that there was a bug before because with the options I took before in my run I got the white ring but I should have gotten the red one. As the one dialog option in the first selection shows in toybox that the value will be decreased (but it doesn't) I guess that was bugged before and therefore had no option available to proceed with keeping the value 0. At least now it seems to work.

Rogue Trader - Act 2 - Heinrix Footfall

At the beginning of act 2 Heinrix will shortly leave you on Footfall. You can get him back quite fast and easily - you only need to go to the Atrium and speak with the Liege and you will get a quest update that repairs on the ship are done and you are needed back.

Just head back to the docks where your shuttle is waiting and Heinrix will be waiting for you.

It is worth it to do this before running around for the other quests on Footfall because you will otherwise miss out on dialog for Heinrix.

For example:

1. Heinrix and Idirah (Argenta will add to the dialog too) if you talk to Hieronymus Doloroso about who the enemies of the Imperium are:

2. The "Figaro/pirate funeral" quest - here Heinrix will comment at the start of the quest (if you select the "What is this place and what is going on here?" line)

-> If you arrive incognito on Footfall and here for this quest pretend to be Fidelio you get an interesting different quest process where you eventually get a little more dialog with Heinrix (as response to who is going to wade into a canal filled with waste and excrements to pull a lever...)

3. Heinrix on meeting Jae in the cantina (Martyr's Endurance) - this is even voiced

Heinrix has additional dialog in the cantina - with Ryzz, (Fellowship of the void reputation contact), the one guest (Gordei Skatov, who speaks about Footfall architecture) and with Octaviana (the bartender).

4. If you talk to the Liege, there is a short conversation between him and Heinrix too:

Rogue Trader - Act 1 - Heinrix and Evayne in Prison (Evayne unharmed) - update

Heinrix has dialog on Rykad Philia if you arrive early. I had previously managed to solve this with toybox and teleporting to Heinrix, grabbing him and leaving to the Prison planet but you can achieve it without toybox in the game.

1.Get to Rykad Philia first to have it set as early/first location you visited - but only land and don't speak with the pilot waiting there yet. Leave again.

2. Now get to Rykad Minoris and make your way through to the bunker and the Governor to learn about Heinrix location. Do not ask him about what else you can do on the planet while you wait.

The complete line is this one:

Because if you do he will talk about Evayne, and then Abelard has a dialog that will then not play again on Rykad Philia and then you will miss Heinrix response.

3. Get to the Electrodynamic Cenobium to get Heinrix - you can simply leave directly or finish his quest (I left but finishing his quest should also not be an issue)

4. Return to Rykad Philia. Do not get to Eurac V to get Cassia as this will also lead to Heinrix dialog getting lost.

When you speak with the pilot

Etude for Abelards dialog is AbelardAboutEwainSeen - if it is not started you should get this dialog (so don't talk with the governor about Evayne. Talking to Lucky Jasper (= Evayne's pilots lover) on the starport is not an issue).

When you speak with Evayne before the confrontation with his friend

This dialog about the access code is only available if you did not go yet to Eurac V. Then you ask Evayne about it and how to approach it.

Rogue Trader - Corruption points for Heinrix romance (true love ending)

There are some dialog options in the game, that will add points to a corruption counter - with 3 points, you will get the true love achievement/ending.

The dialog options are not tied to a conviction so you don't have to play iconoclast and you don't have to go with a certain Rykad Minoris decision etc. but if you go too heretical (rank 3 or higher) he will eventually leave you in act 4 (shortly before this you can reset in game your conviction, even if you do not have toybox mod).

If you have enough corruption points, you will get additional dialog in his second act 4 romance scene and you will also have a talk with him about it on the bridge afterwards. This romance ending is also not affected by his personal quests in act 2 and 4 (as long as you do not fail it and so do not end the romance).

The relevant dialog options are:

Act 2 - Janus after main quest in the governors palace ("Why must your concern for me be wrapped up in layers of rebukes and recriminations") -> the heretic choice for the main quest might be bugged, it should also trigger his romance dialog but for me it didn't - you can trigger it manually with toybox in this case

Act 2 - Inquisition Shipwreck on Pillars of Viridice ice world ("You do not always have to appear invincible. Especially around me") -> you only have the dialog in act 2!

Act 3 - when you meet him in the pit where he rests ("They mutilated and maimed you purely because of what you are" or "It pains me even to listen to you. I cannot imagine the agony you suffered")

Act 4 - date - the dialog option requires to already have 2 corruption points to be avilable ("We have one life. I don't want to give all of mine to the Imperium with nothing left for myself. Do you? Do you actually want it?")

Rogue Trader - Act 4 - Heinrix romance - Date - love confession

In Heinrix date scene you can get him to confess his love for you - normally he would do this in his freeze romance scene after Euphrates II.

During the date you need to take the "Void.Take.You" option to get there (any of the three available options lead to it):

The dialog option "We have one life. I don't want to give all of mine to the Imperium with nothing left for myself. Do you? Do you actually want it?" gives you one corruption point (of required 3) if you try to get Heinrix to leave the inquisition later (at the freeze scene).

Please note: While it is called corruption point it does not allow Heinrix to stay with you if you go for a full heretic run.

You can also tell him that you love him (-> this line is only available if he confessed his love to you. If you did not take the Void.Take.You option to get his confession it is not available)

"They danced like they had done before and yet, everything was different now. It was overwhelming, and she noticed how her insecurities made her body tremble. Another whisper.

“Venria, look at me.” She forced her gaze away from her surroundings, concentrating only on Heinrix. “Good, keep at it. It is just the two of us – just like before.”  

He kept on talking with her, distracting her from her surroundings and even making her laugh in between. Towards the end of the dance, she was smiling brightly at him, while his response had been a cautious one.

Before it ended, she heard him whisper even more quietly than before, “I need to talk to you in private.”"
