can't believe it's canon that josef falls in love easily. that he loves so deeply, he doesn't know handle himself and he chooses to murder instead.

can't believe it's canon that murder is an artform to him. that it's "the greatest job in the world" to him. he legitimately has the most delightful time doing it.

can't believe it's canon that he craves human connection, attention, love, validation - despite his insanity and passion for the macabre.

can't believe it's canon that he's bicurious, but not for men. he liked men the whole time.

can't believe it's canon that he always, in some way, tells the truth - even when he lies.

can't believe it's canon that he does everything for the love of the game. for the love of the chase. for the love of the art. for the love of obsession. for the love of people. for the love of love.

one of my favorite things about the creep tapes overall is how it helps us understand josef. while still maintaining the mystery of who he really is.

josef is dissociative. his memories are inconsistent. which explains so much. SO MUCH !! he confuses his memories with scenes from movies. he can't remember what's real and what's fabricated. some memories even seem to stem from peachfuzz himself. and wow... talk about strangely accurate OSDD writing !!

his inconsistent memory makes sense if you think back on everything we've seen. like the story he told sara from his childhood. it's similar to his meeting with aaron. did he confuse that moment with one from his past? or was he lying to sara on purpose? maybe a little of both??

i love that we literally don't know which of josef's lies are intentional and which are delusions in his head. he is a mess of contradictions, and i can't get enough of him. josef is one of the most fascinating and lovable characters in modern horror. period.
