“I’d like to think so. It was meant to be.” He offered a wink before dipping is fork in the food and taking a bite while watching her. Glancing down at the mark for a moment, he offered a shrug. “Maybe. Do you mind?” He rose an eyebrow in question. “Hm. I like when you say that.” Moving closer, he captures her lips in a quick kiss.

“Hm, I guess we are lucky to have found each other.” She smiled to herself when he kissed her head. Taking the fork from him she nodded. “That we are.” She agreed turning to look at the mark he had left on her skin. “Marking your territory?” She asked teasingly before her face changed. “I love you too.”

“We are perfect together.” He purred against the side of her head before offering a small peck there. Letting out a small smile as he opened the styrofoam plates, he picked up a fork before handing her one. “That’s good. I’m glad we’re on the same page.” He chuckled, kissing over the small bite mark he’d left along her shoulder. “I love you.”

“Hmm, perfect combo, does that mean we are perfect together?” She asked in a teasing voice laughing then he pulls her towards he table where the food was sat waiting to be eaten. “Yes we shall.” She smiled as she settled onto his lap laughing and letting out of soft squeal of delight when she felt him bite at her shoulder. “Good, I don’t want you too.”

“So why not do something else?

“Yeah, they’re pretty awful.”

“Of course, little Red. I’d love to help if you’d allow me.”

“Really? Thank you, Carter. That means a lot to me.”

Carter smiled and offered a little nod, “That definitely sounds like good to me. We’re the perfect combo.” He beams against her lips before slowly backing away when the smell of food wafts his way. “I’m starving. Shall we eat?” He asks, pulling Aiden along before sitting down at the table and pulling her down in his lap. Playfully bitting at her shoulder while he takes out their food. “And I’m not leaving just yet.”

Wrapping her arms around his neck she smiled up at him when he called her cute. “Cute to go along with my handsome boyfriend.” She flirted before responding to his kiss walking backwards until she felt her back come into contact with the door. “I’ve missed you too, but you’re here now.” She smiled brushing her nose against his.

“Got your priorities in the right place. You know that if you ever need help. You should let me know.”

“I’m not really looking right now. Kinda focusing on this one, honestly,” she said, tapping her baby bump lightly.

Finally getting the damn alarm shut, he smiled a little bit as he stepped down from his chair, he wrapped his arms around her. “Fuck, you look cute.” He grinned while glancing down at her. Pressing his lips against hers, he kissed her deeper before walking her towards the nearest door with a grin attached to his lips. “I’ve missed you.” He whispered while keeping his forehead pressed against her, letting his hands settle on her hips.

Blushing when he told her that she was cute she licked her lower lip and looked up at him as he worked smiling at the sight of her boyfriend removing the damned fire alarm from the wall. “They suck for that, they should make them easier to removed so they dont drive people crazy.” She said with a pout before smiling brightly as he stepped down and said about changing the batteries in a few months time. Moving forward she leant up to kiss his cheek. “My hero. Thank you so much.”

“Well, that sounds like a decent job. I wouldn’t be able to do it. I can imagine how mean people are.”

“I sell stuff people never think about getting. I’m that door to door guy that sells stuff for small companies.”

“That would be quite the Catfish. You never know, though. But schools seem pretty legit. It’s a long way to travel, so I definitely hope you meet this mystery person.”

“I don’t know… I feel like fifteen years is a bit much for a catfishing…? Plus it was set up by the school.”

“I’m in sales.”

Scout’s jaw fell a bit at his news. “Oh my God! Carter! Congratulations! Whose the lucky girl?”
