It contains a First Encounter scene I worked on for Tron Mai’s storyboarding class at Concept Design Academy in Pasadena, in 2018, based on a scene from the game Undertale.

Hey there! How’s it going?⠀

Today I have something I had never done before: a tabletop RPG character! My first one at that!⠀

This is Satya Siyanov, and she’s the lovechild of Jessica Rabbit and Helga Sinclair :33 The owner of a well-known jazz club, “Shiny Shoes”, she also runs the hidden speakeasy underneath the club, manned by the loyal members of her gang. Satya always seems to be in control, unfazed by what’s thrown at her... or is she? When her gang members start mysteriously disappearing, and she’s thrown into a plot involving one of her old bootlegging friends, she might be in well over her head on this one...⠀

This my first time actually playing a tabletop RPG, and I’m so excited!! It’s Call of Cthulhu Seventh Edition, and im loving it. A good friend is the DM and he made an awesome campaign for us, for which I’m very thankful :33 I’ll keep you guys updated on Satya, on what becomes of her (which will probably be soon, cause this one’ll be a two shot). Let’s see if she survives... and if she does, if she’ll still have enough sanity to go back to business...⠀

I’m entertaining the idea of drawing the other characters from our party. I’ll have to ask my friends first though, we’ll see ;3

Hello there!

Posting at the very last minute, but this is my entry for @icypantherwrites Fanart of Fanfiction Contest!

This is a piece inspired by their wonderful fanfic, Disjointed Soul. You should DEFINITELY read it. It’s a wonderful piece, and the first one of Icy’s stories I’ve ever read, so when I saw it on the list I knew which one I wanted to draw for. I had the phrase above (which is my favorite from that story!) in my head the entire time I drew it. And Lance’s words to describe his friends, they really touched me. I decided to display them on their faces, proudly showing the labels Lance picked for each one. As for our blue boy... I think the word on Lance’s own face describes what I think he felt like by the end of that story.

Also, I cannot lie... Being able to show my friends exactly what I think of them, by having them enter my head, is a thought that I’ve had for many years (of course, I don’t think having a Soul Leecher inside of me would be a good idea, nor would I want to expose my friends to danger). The first time I read Disjointed Soul I cried, for I did not once see someone put this concept in a story as wonderfully and fully as Icy did. I felt for Lance. And I’ve read this story many times since.

This is my first time drawing Voltron characters besides Hunk, and I must say, I didn’t notice their details in design until I started picking their faces apart. If I weren’t so sick right now I might have had a blast with this one hsuahsushsu

As you can see, this drawing isn’t quite finished. I’ve had the sketch for this one from the first day I saw Icy’s post for her contest. I thought I’d be able to finish it this week, but then I got sick all week last week and SURPRISE, I am sick again today. But I just couldn’t not post an entry! Icy’s work is amazing and she 100% deserves all love and attention to her stories she can get. Man, I really wish I could finish this one in time. I want to do this story justice! But I do plan to color it at a later date! Icy sure deserves it :33

Did I mention I absolutely love musicals? Just saw @mrjoeiconis live Q&A at the @bemorechillmusical Instagram and when he mentioned his favorite BMC ship is SquipxGingervitis I couldn’t resist doodling something hausbshsb Can I just say that their costumes are really hard to draw (but also are so, so much fun)? Also, it’s their opening night tonight! I wish all the amazing people involved on this show the best opening night they can have!
