A change in the seasons
A poem about autumn
The sun appears.
Soaring higher each day in the
Bright blue plain stretching out forever
Life begins.
Timid shoots reaching out
For a golden drink of sunlight
The days lengthen.
The sun gaining confidence with
Every passing week
And then the flowers bloom.
Petals stretching in the warmth
And waking from their winter slumber
Colours explode.
A beautiful cacophony of life
Thriving in harmony
The breeze stops.
A lazy muggy air lingers
Snaking through the days
And then the sun goes shy.
Shrinking back and tugging
The days shorter
Life is drained.
Colour leaks into browns and oranges
As green withers
The wind bites.
Snapping at the dying branches
And tugging at the leaves
The seasons have changed.
But there is still beauty in darkness
Still beauty in the cold
Still beauty in rain and misty weather
There is still beauty in Autumn.

The Waters
!!SoC and CK Spoilers!!
A poem about Kaz’s backstory
The pull was getting stronger
Water on his face
The stench of rotting bodies
Floating without grace
His little hands reached out
Grasping for some support
The waters rose to his head
But still he thrashed and fought
“I’m alive!” He tried to scream
But an answer never came
The waters were slowly rising
He knew death was visiting again
Suddenly his hand
Landed on something firm
And he dragged himself to air
Pulling with a kick and a squirm
When his head finally resurfaced
And oxygen filled his lungs
He saw the body he was holding
And the face that looked so young
Even changed with death
He knew his brother well
And the horror that he felt
Reminded him of hell
Yet he knew he had to fight
And make it out alive
For he knew just what he’d do
If he managed to survive
There was one thing on his mind
As he pushed his way to shore
That someone had to pay for this
Someone he’d quickly abhorred
His motivation kept him swimming
Through sickness and drenched apparel
And formed the hidden story
Of the Bastard of the Barrel

Here is a poem I wrote, hope you like it!
The Crow
A whisper of darkness
Stolen from night
A glimpse of a breeze
Pulled from plain sight
A sharp clever gaze
Snatched from a thought
An omen of death
Plucked from Distraught
A dark glossy sheen
Robbed on a feather
Foretellings of decease
Thieved from a Never
