Here’s a movie that needs a reboot. Or a prequel.

The original back cover of the first Superman and Spider-Man team-up (1976), by Ross Andru and Dick Giordano.
Tumblr media
And Alex Ross’ version of the same cover, using Nicholas Hammond’s Spider-Man from the CBS television series and, of course, Christopher Reeve’s Superman from the film series.
(The fact that neither The Amazing Spider-Man television series [1977] or Superman the Movie [1978] had premiered at the time the team-up comic was published has absolutely no bearing on how fantastic Alex Ross’ painting is!)

The Brady Bunch, season 4, episode 3. Aired October 6, 1972. Part 3 of a three-part episode partially filmed in Hawaii. Co-starring Vincent Price who did not film any scenes in Hawaii. His scenes were filmed on the old Gilligan’s Island set on a soundstage at CBS Studio Center in Studio City, California.
The episode was directed by Jack Arnold, who also directed several horror movies in the 1950s, including "Creature from the Black Lagoon" and "The Incredible Shrinking Man."
Vincent Price's appearance on "The Brady Bunch" helped to solidify his status as a beloved pop culture icon and introduced him to a younger generation of fans.
Note: In this episode Vincent Price talks to a giant tiki idol he named Oliver. In the following season of The Brady Bunch, the character of Cousin Oliver appears.

She-Hulk & Pals #25 from 1970 includes this pin-up of Jen and ROM about to attend the annual Avengers Mansion Ball. Marvel put these out hoping to compete with the huge success of Archie Comics. She-Hulk & Pals #9 was the first appearance of ROM, who would go on to become Jen's boyfriend for 20 issues until she dumped him for being a bit too straightlaced. ROM appeared for a few more times when he caused drama by dating Jen's best friend Tigra. The series lasted 99 issues.

Now, Hobbes believed that man is an animal that thinks too much. An over-rational animal that’s lost touch with its body and its instincts. How do you like that? In other words, too much brains, not enough guts.
Shivers (1975) dir. David Cronenberg
