'Twas the night before Oscar, And throughout Hollywood. Movie stars- popped Ozempic, To make sure they’d look good. The statues were polished, All shiny and gold. Hoping Jamie Lee or Ke Quan, On Sunday would hold. With their crash diets over, The movie stars came. And fans whistled & shouted, And called them by name. There’s Cate Blanchett, A true Oscars fixture. She’s “Everything Everywhere”, Like the hopeful Best Picture. Hey Austin Butler, You still sound like the King. And lifting us up from Wakanda, Rihanna will sing. Is that Brendan Fraser? He’s really lost weight! No, it's just Tom Cruise as Maverick, Playing it ‘straight’. I loved all the “Banshees”, And “Tár” was “Top Gun”. But “Triangle of Sadness”, Was really great fun! It’s good to see Chris Rock, Looking so happy. Since Will Smith is banned, For getting all slappy! The new “Avatar” movie, Was well worth the wait. And Michelle Yeoh you’re amazing, Now let’s Stop Asian Hate. Hey Colin Farrell, Your performance was brooding. And I loved Kerry Kondon, For her I am rooting! So back at The Dolby, This year’s carpet is white. A lot like the nominees, Which isn’t quite right. So here's to the Oscars, A year of great flicks. I've seen every movie, And here are my picks!
