I think this is my first Tumblr post? Thought I’d check out this white hot new app

These exclusive behind-the-scenes books are essentially creator journals chronicling the evolution of the series, containing pitches, concepts, character thumbnails etc that I worked on ahead of and during the comic’s run

i love the transformers fandom only we could see a robot in the trailer of a new giant movie and start losing our shit and screaming "ITS STEVE!!!" completely unironically

I gotta be honest, I do not like the Orion flipping the bird bit in TFOne

Like, I feel this is missing the point of Optimus' character, and a case of the lunatic psychopath bayverse version bleeding over

Optimus Prime is a Superman type paragon character, he's kind, forgiving, respectful, and polite, even to his enemies, even a younger, more impulsive Optimus/pre matrix Orion, if anything he should be less likely to do something like this

But I realize something else

The character who would flip someone off, who would be rude, defiant, and impulsive...

is Hot Rod

And honestly that pisses me off a little

For years Transformers has avoided Hot Rod, refused to use him, to give another go at his character arc of punk-to-leader...

And now when we do Optimus' past, they're giving him someone else's characterization
