A total solar eclipse will cross the U.S. on August 21

On Monday, Aug. 21, a rare total solar eclipse will take place in an event NASA dubbed the Eclipse Across America.

This special eclipse will be visible in the daytime across North America from Salem, Oregon, to Charleston, South Carolina.

An eclipse iswhat happens when “one heavenly body, such as a moon or planet, moves into the shadow of another heavenly body.”

While big cities like New York and Chicago will get a glimpse of the partial eclipse, the total eclipse will only be viewable in cities and towns along a diagonal slash from the West Coast through St. Louis and down to South Carolina. Read more (7/19/17)

Do you guys agree if he uses Camscanner to scan his work the image would display much better? WHY? Because we apply machine learning tech and let the scanner app to understand the artise!

Star Wars Rebels I had a rather substantial fight with the scanner over these. One sketch for every ten minutes of runtime for the opening episodes of seasons 1-3! This was a pretty big challenge since I’ve only done this exercise with live-action films before, and I normally avoid drawing vehicles and technology. 

It was nice to take a closer look at how cinematic the show is. Nice use of foreground, mid-ground, and background space.

CamScanner: a must have for traditional artists!

hello! I recently found this rad app called “CamScanner”, a mobile app for android and iOS

what does this app do? well, basically it imitates a scanner, so even if you don’t have one, you can take real cool pictures of your drawings!

for this to work, i suggest you take a picture of your entire paper / sketchbook / etc. The app will automatically crop your picture and come out with something like this:

(sometimes it wont be too accurate, but that can be easily fixed by moving the frame yourself)

once scanned, the app will make it so your drawing looks like this:

(the app will have some presets, so you might want to mess around with those. OR you can mess with the settings yourself to get a look you desire)

this can be really helpful if you plan to color your traditional piece on a computer, or something similar.

this can even work with colored drawing, if you’d like!
