This love trilogy is based on two enemies by default falling in love when the society doesn't expect it. Witch Lou le Blanc and Witch Hunter Captain Ried Diggory are forced in an arranged marriage while they despise each other's linen of work. Lou a smart conniving witch and Ried a headstrong Witch Hunter falls in a relationship based on hate, lie and conspiracy.

As the relationship develops secrets are unravled, old tales are tattled and new relation are scorched out of the grave.

Personally, I felt the book is written very charmingly. The way the narration moves and the story develops, it is all very fascinating to read. The whole Witch and Witch Hunter aspect it pretty entertaining and my favourite trope of enemies to lover made it all the more lovable.
