I understand Ahmet's supporters, but Esra has been through a lot of shit in this life too. Ahmet was not the only one who suffered in this story. I will be defending my girl Esra forever.

I love stories of intense love. Love that crosses time. I like to feel that tingle in the pit of my stomach like a butterfly fight—that particular thrill. On the one hand, I think it's because of how much I'd like to be loved that way. On the other, it fascinates me when something like love, which I don't usually see demonstrated that way, breaks down walls of all kinds.

An eternal desire, an unconditional love, an unwavering loyalty; the insistence of two lovers crazy about each other, capable of even altering the flow of the universe. I need more recommendations of those—books, series, movies.

One of the things I love about the Ember Island Players is that by trying to make fun of the possibility of romance between Zuko and Katara in the play-within-a-play, the show actually introduces Zutara as text into the world of the show, particularly in Fire Nation pop culture.

Like, there's this widely-advertised production that shows the Fire Prince and the Southern waterbending master falling in love. Then, probably the next thing the gen pop hears about their future Fire Lord is that he's jumped in front of his sister's lightning to save this same girl's life, doing absolutely nothing to beat those allegations.

There's just no way the gossip mill isn't churning. It's too juicy.

delighted to listen to a nine year old discussing his thoughts on star wars. his dad’s been introducing him to the movies in release-date order, and they’re now halfway through The Force Awakens. here are his hot takes:

- best movie: phantom menace. qui gon and obi wan and yoda and anakin are all really cool.

- worst movie: return of the jedi. it took too long to save han solo; jabba is gross to look at and slave leia was weird to watch, ‘and they call it PG!’

- best characters: luke skywalker. anakin skywalker is second-best because he becomes darth vader. (this was very disappointing to discover)

- best villain: darth vader (even if he’s anakin). but dooku was also very good. palpatine is ugly.

- favorite jedi: yoda.

- biggest complaint: it would be better if anakin wasn’t darth vader. and, why did they kill padme? she would be a better vader. they should bring back anakin for the new movies. no, not as a ghost, just bring him back.

Imagining Zuko having a secret crush on Katara throughout book 3 is soo good and angsty and peak drama. What if you tenderly touched my face during a shared moment of vulnerability, and then I betrayed you anyway. What if afterwards I couldn't get you out of my head, so I tried kissing another girl in hopes that might fix it. What if I came back to you, but you hate me so much now that being around you feels like getting my heart ripped out, and I have no one to blame except myself. What if I fell in love with a girl who despises me.

my favourite zutara trope is always gonna be them liking each other by the end of book 3 but trying to let it go for the sake of a@ng’s feelings because kat/ang canon is written so so one sided that doesn’t feel like a stretch at all

katara’s feelings towards a@ng are framed as a reward for his personal growth, we don’t get a real glimpse into katara’s pov on their relationship, her and zuko could’ve been in love with each other the whole time, they actually were cause I said so

(don’t even let me start with mai/ko because this pairing is just a disaster, mai is barely a character, she’s more like a prompt and the fact they paired zuko after everything they did for his character with the redemption arc with miss colonization poster girl n. 2 (cool and edgy ver.) showcases how little bryke really cares about the themes they choose to appropriate for their cartoon and that their hatred for zutara has nothing to do with with politics and everything to do with their “nice guys finish last” mentality)
