Chapter Two Summary: Sanya is taught a valuable lesson over raspberry strudel about the trials up ahead. Once the trial starts, however, she can’t manage to take that advice to heart and ends up with more wounds than anyone wants to be saddled with on the first day of the first task.

The Apexi Association took the world by storm, eradicating the monsters and bringing about the New Age two hundred and twelve years ago. They now recruit only the strongest, most able individuals to teach and help combat the ever-looming threat of nonhuman, intelligent and unintelligent beasts. These elite members of the Apexi Association are called Apexim, and are considered the greatest soldiers in all the world. They are known for their almost inhuman abilities, and their prowess is recognized even by their greatest enemies. 

Born a half-demon and hated her whole life, Sanya has a bone to pick. 

Born to a powerful family full of prestigious Apexim, Clyte just wants to find peace. 

Seeped in poverty, Kiko just wants to return the favour to the man who raised him. 

With neither inherently good nor inherently bad intentions, Bellamy lingers because he’s curious as to what will happen next.  

Assessment Arc: 

Finding themselves in the 200th Apexi Assessment, Sanya, Clyte, Kiko, and Bellamy encounter unexpected challenges. Some of them may make it, none of them may make it, or all of them may make it, but deep down, do they have what it takes to be an Apexim? And at this point, do they have a choice in whether or not they can back out?

If you’ve ever wanted wanted semi-explicit queerness that is also somehow not the main point of the story, journeys of identity and morality, plus the adventure and sense of friendship of a 90s shounen manga but also the moral consequences and implications of a seinen you can’t watch/read in front of your family, then this may be right up your alley. I was inspired by many different sources, and the old saying ‘if it doesn’t exist, make it yourself’ really forced me into action (something that causes me to write almost everything I do).

I just had a conversation with a bunch of people alone. In my head, actually. Not in the way of mental illness, although it could be caused by that, but suffice to say, this five minute ghost conversation in my head with someone I will never talk about this to made me come to some conlusions about myself.

I'm very grateful for invetions like the refridgerator, air conditioning, internet, and cell phones. Most of all, boy, am I glad we have electricity the way we do. Like, I don't know what I'd do withlut it -- lose all my other favourite things it would seem.

Anyway, I'm new to this "unsolicited sharing of random ideas that randomly pop into your head" so I hope I did it right. The concept still seems both weird and dangerous.

Chapter One Summary: Sanya is prepared for the Apexi Assessment, but she also has two days before the Assessment commences. Surrounded by monster-hating wannabes, she struggles. Please do not ignore our suffering and our causes

I am Imtithal from North Gaza, I share with you the deep sorrow of my family from Gaza, so I created this campaign for him to try to help him and his family. I know that donations are not easy in these times, but I believe that every contribution has the power to change someone's life.

That is why I am participating in this campaign with all my faith, not only to keep them saved, but also to protect their dreams and help them get out of Gaza. I am Imtithal from Gaza, I lost all my dreams and my job as a dentist, I lost my home, I lost my brother Obaida who was killed and he had young children, and my family lost their entire livelihood because of this war in Gaza.

We live in miserable conditions and live in poor conditions with my family of 35, most of whom are young children. We are always trying hard to provide a living as hunger and thirst kill us.

The scene continues, full of depression, sadness, fear and horror. The siege imposed on us, the genocide that follows us, all kinds of torment and suffering, the spread of diseases, all of this and more kills life in Gaza, kills our existence, and our lives have turned into an endless nightmare, amidst hopes hanging by a thin thread.

We are suffering now, and we do not know what tomorrow will bring. We do not know when this war will end!!! Because we have lost everything beautiful, we are about to lose more.

We face harsh conditions and a dark future for our lives, displacement, poverty and pain. But there is a glimmer of hope with your help and generous donations.

We can leave Gaza and build a new life and rise from the rubble. Every small donation can make a big difference. That is why I seek through your donations.
