Although you and Taekwoon did your best to avoid one another, there was always an underlying tension that could easily spark debate between you. 

You couldn’t help but evoke some of his annoyance much as he did the same to you.

“And a hello to you too!” you remarked as Taekwoon stormed passed you and moved into the kitchen, slamming the refrigerator door behind himself. “Excuse me, why are you being such an ass to the house?!”

“Don’t, Y/N, I’m not in the mood today for you.”

“Well, I’m not in the mood to see you take your frustrations on things we need to keep working. Break your stuff, not communal things.”

You thought he would bite back, however, Taekwoon blinked back his emotions and you frowned. Before he became too vulnerable, he shifted into his bedroom, although without slamming the door this time. 

What had gone wrong? You waited thirty minutes before you hesitantly knocked and opened the door, peering inside. Taekwoon’s back was facing you though you could see he was crying. Stepping inside, you slowly sat down beside him, reaching out to pat him awkwardly.

It was instant, the way he nestled into you. As if he craved your comfort and had waited for it. Cradling him until the emotions ran their course, you noticed how pink his cheeks were when he looked up at you. “Hey don’t sweat it. I can pretend this never happened if you like?”

“No,” he replied, shaking his head. “I don’t want us to forget we can be like this with one another.”

“If I ever were to propose to you, Y/N, it’ll be something special,” Ravi smiles. You two were together for almost three years and you’re surprised he’s never popped the question to make you his; permanently. “Why do you keep asking? Do you think I won’t ever ask and we’ll just be boyfriend and girlfriend forever?” He laughs.

Maybe. You thought. Or you can lead me on and break my heart. You thought, again. Your mind kept clouding you with ‘what if’s’ as Ravi kept speaking.

“It’s not that I think that. I just thought you know…because we’re both ready for commitment,” You almost mumble, “You know, commitment with each other.” You added. He nodded and watched you plop and lay down on the couch. “I know what you’re saying, baby. My career just gets in the way of a lot. You know that.” You nod and give him a peck on his cheek. “I mean, in fact, you’ll never know.” Ravi shyly smiles and heads to the bathroom.

10 minutes went by and you were wondering where the actual fuck he went. Did he sneak out? Is he freaking out? Is he constipated? Yeah, he might just be constipated. Curious to know where he was, you got up and walked over to the bathroom. You stepped in something wet and looked down at the floor. You saw a trail of water lead down the hall, into your guy’s shared bedroom.

And there he was. Just like how you imagined. The room was filled with the scent of cherry with a mix of apple cinnamon. Almost like you were in a fresh candle store. Ravi stood in front of you with a huge bright smile. “It’s all for you,” He smiles, walked over to you and grabbed your hands. “It’s always been for you.” He finishes and kisses you. On the TV in the room, he played a short documentary of you and Ravi’s adventures as a couple. You were so intrigued into The screen you didn’t notice Ravi on his knee.

“Y/N,” You turn to him and back up in shock. You felt your eyes start to tremble and the tears started to fall. “It’s ironic, huh?” He giggles. “No, baby, of course not. It’s just how I imagined.” You reassure him. “Y/N, will you-“ “Yes! A hundred times yes!” You both smiled in excitement and kissed; which felt like for the longest time. Ravi slid the ring onto your finger and the new replacement of the cold ring on your finger felt amazing. It’s just how you wanted it.

The big day soon came just four months after. After stressful planning, heated arguments, days apart from each other, and even bitter quietness. It was an adventure, but if it meant being Ravi’s girl forever; you were down for it.

“Boys, how do I look?” Ravi asked his groomsmen. Hongbin laughed and facepalmed. “We told you like a dozen times. You look good,” Leo smiles and the other boys nod. “Do you think it’s good enough for Y/N?” Ravi asks nervously. The boys groan in frustration and start chatting amongst themselves.

The reception happened all so quickly. You heard the people chatter from afar and heard Ravi’s voice from down the hall. You made a slight peek around the corner and he looked so handsome. You were mesmerized at the sight of him. “Y/N.” A voice said and scared you shitless. “Dad, you scared me oh my goodness.” You say and still have your hand to your heart.

Is it beating? Well at a time like this I’m surprised it is.

“It’s time, honey.” Your dad smiled and took your arm and intertwined it with his. You took the world’s biggest sigh and smiled. 

The music played and it really hit you. I’m marrying the man of my dreams. You were walking down the aisle and saw Ravi’s direction dart to you. He started shaking and did a slight wave at you and smiled. You smiled and waved back.

Man, how did I get so lucky?
