Okay so just yesterday I finished watching kcfh (thanks, Netflix) and I’ve been catching up on general thoughts/analysis of the show. Obviously lots of discussion about how sitcoms make jokes at the expense of women and lots of parallels to other problematic shows, but I haven’t seen anyone mention the set’s resemblance to All in the Family. Thanks to my old parents, I grew up watching AITF which is from the 70s and it has one of the most problematic husband/male characters of all time, the notorious Archie Bunker (so much so that I’ve heard people refer to their husbands/fathers as one: “my father was an Archie Bunker”). I think the set is so clearly modeled after AITF (see pics below) and it’s a brilliant move. I mean the front door, closet, coat tree, stairs going up at that angle with a window above them and with carpeting, lots of brown colors, kitchen on the left, even the placement of the wedding picture! - I know lots of sitcom “houses” take on similar layouts, but the resemblance is so distinct, it cannot be random. First time seeing the set of kcfh, I knew exactly what I was in for. Just another well thought out element to this incredible show. One of the best I’ve ever seen.

Idk who needs to know this but I saw Stereophonic on broadway yesterday and met Sarah at the stage door. She was incredibly sweet and was happy to sign a picture of my Leatin painting. It’s now the most special thing I own. Her first thought was to sign her boobs but she changed her mind. And where she *did* sign of all the places she could’ve chosen…

Another Leatin painting (less complex lol). Fatin’s love declaration but in the style of the iconic Any Given Sundae shirt she wears while saying the line and that they share in S2. Added their colors (brown and red) to the painting just because the fudge and cherries were too perfect ❤️🤎

Hi friends,

This is my first post on Tumblr despite having used the app for years. Mostly I just hang around my favorite tgs (Leatin is my number one). This ship is one of my all time favorites and The Wilds is still in my top ten favorite shows. It's sad that the leatin tag has dwindled but I see all 20 or so of you still kicking!! And I'm here! I'm silently checking every day. Anyways, I wrote a Leatin fic. This is my first time posting on AO3 and first time posting a fic in years. I don't know if anyone cares lol, but here it is.
