hi guys. i’m so sorry about the last two days. i wound up getting so sick i just laid in bed all day long trying to sleep. i’m feeling better, and i’m still committed to bury a friend.

the wizarding wireless network interrupts our regular broadcast to bring you breaking news. 

we’ve just learned that there’s been a mass breakout at azkaban prison. reports are still coming in, but it’s believed that amycus carrow--once missing and thought to be dead--organized this with the aid of other death eaters in order to break out his sister, alecto. as many as seven known death eaters, including the carrow siblings, are now at large. authorities are reminding folks that if they see someone they suspect could be a death eater to notify the ministry immediately. under no circumstances should civilians approach these people themselves as they are highly dangerous.

with that, we are open! as part of this plot drop, seven new characters have become available for applications. those characters include alecto carrow, amycus carrow, antonin dolohov, evan rosier, barty crouch jr, dominic mulciber, and nicholas travers. please double check that you're following all members and remember to tag all your starters with baf.start.

will there be writing prompts/character development days?

i’m going to be honest, i’m not totally sure what a character development day is. i’ve been out of the tumblr rp game for a bit. however! it sounds fun so if people want it and want to explain it to me i am down! as for prompts, absolutely! almost all plot drops will be more prompts than anything else. something, typically related to the war, will happen, and you will have the possibility to respond to that (or not, honestly). in fact, since it’s so close, i’m going to share that we’re opening with a plot drop.

honestly? i don’t see why not. i was thinking yesterday how it would almost be fun to just admin a group without playing a character, so we’re on the same page here anon!

i hope this doesn't come off as rude but is it possible if you could change the blue text agains the black background??? it just makes it hard to read with those of us that already have bad eye sight to begin with. i have to like extra zoom in to see the text sometimes ❤️

this doesn’t come off as rude at all, i don’t mind changing the font colour. thank you so much for reaching out and letting me know. this is going to sound really nonsensical but i myself have had trouble reading it, but i also have bad eyesight with most font against dark backgrounds due to weird astigmatism stuff, so i just assumed it was me and was like, “well, i’ll suffer for the aesthetic.” i’ll make it larger, and change the colour.

logan shroyer, twenty-one, male, he/him + i just saw gilderoy lockhart down at diagon alley. apparently they’re unemployed these days, who knew? guess it makes sense, they were always pretty charming & ambitious. i wonder how their self-absorbed & dishonest behaviours have been treating them during the war. where do you suppose a half-blood like them stands, anyway? with the civilians, i bet. they always make me think of intricate golden stitching, being watched by someone with a mirror, and a sheet of parchment covered in practice signatures.( tays, -18, non-binary, she/her or they/them )

victoria pedretti, twenty-six, cis female, she/her + i just saw hestia jones down at diagon alley. apparently they’re working as the secretary to the head of the dmle these days, who knew? guess it makes sense, they were always pretty diligent & observant. i wonder how their finicky & secretive behaviours have been treating them during the war. where do you suppose a muggleborn like them stands, anyway? with the order of the phoenix, i bet. they always make me think of the seen but underestimated presence in the corner of the room, always running out of parchment, coffee ring stains on the table, an exterior of porcelain but an interior of steel. so, here’s the deal. i’m not going to be able to post much for the rest of the night, although i will be around for plotting and i can answer any questions that get im’d. on the off chance someone applies i’d like to give them the chance to join the plotting. so from this point until we open for interactions i won’t be posting any acceptances, but rather i’ll message the applicant and let them know i’ve received their app and they are functionally accepted and they can turn in their account and i can post a follow. all proper acceptances will be posted tomorrow. it’s the best way i can think of to include as many people as possible in the plotting fun.

nope, not at all! you can change up their career all you like!
