hearing that she was home was a good sign, at least she wasn't stranded somewhere drunk. she felt a bit relieved knowing so, but still lennon couldn't just forget what happened between them. "what is there to say? you're drunk and probably just need to go to sleep," she sighed, "and probably some water with an aspirin." the next words stung, but she had to keep herself together, she was the sober one here, she needed to not let lacey get under her skin like she used to. "if that was true, do you think i would have answered your call?"

hearing her voice again was something she didn't know she needed. heart was hurting and head was pounding, as her brows furrow, vision was impaired from tears and drunkness. "i don't know? home?" she mumbles out, sighing. "you're not going to say anything about what i said before?" slur words fell from her lips as she runs a hand through her hair. "did i mean nothing?"

gavin moved over to caspian, resting his hand on his shoulder. "look, i did you a favor when you think about it. they wouldn't have had made out with me if they had feelings for you," his ego was something else, that even the hangover couldn't subdue it. "cas, do you really think i would hurt you on purpose?" even though he sounded genuine, he wouldn't be surprised if caspian called bullshit on his poor excuse. not even a real apology ever left his lips. their friendship was something that everyone who knew them knew that gavin cherished, that he was closer to him than he was his own brother. yet, the more gavin's band got popular, the less of that showed. this conversation being another proof of it.

scoff leaves his lips as he rolls his eyes, "do you fucking hear yourself?" caspian couldn't even look at the other, they've been friends for a while. "you knew i was interested in them, but of course you couldn't help yourself, could you?" he expected this from anyone, but him -- unsure if the other was even worth his time anymore, there was no denying that the trust that was once there was slowly vanishing.

carmen hated when serenity tempted her. it was easy for her to get intoxicated by the girl. but it didn't help that she was technically working with her, and was dating her best friend, the latter should've meant more than it actually did. "ser... is this a good idea? she'll be back any minute now," carmen whispered, even though it didn't stop her from resting her hand on serenity's leg, moving a bit closer.

gavin sighed, "listen, you can't still be mad about it. it was just a drunk makeout session, i promise it meant nothing to me." even though his words made it sound like the events were long ago, it was just the night before. and the hangover was still making gavin irritated. but he tried not to show it. "how about a drink? i'll even buy us breakfast." he offered.

when lennon saw lacey's name pop up on her phone, she originally wasn't going to answer. after all, when they broke up, it felt like the worst thing that have ever happened to her. but seeing as lacey haven't contacted her since, something must've been wrong, right? so, she answered, "hello?" she spoke, before listening to the girl practically rambled, it was obvious she was drunk. "lacey... where are you?" she spoke simply, trying not to let her words get to her. after all, she might been saying it just because she was drinking and it would lead to nothing. so, lennon refused to get her hopes up.

it was late at night, drunken thoughts lead to her calling the other. she knew that she shouldn't, it's been so long since she last heard their voice. so when she heard them speak, she finally breaks. “i said i don’t care and i said that i’m fine.. but you know that i can’t let it go.." voice breaks as tears streams down her face, "i’ve tried and tried and tried for so long…”

maybe he didn't actually hate his birthday if it meant seeing ariella. logan loved how much she loved willow, how much willow loved her. it felt like they were met to be a family together. but he was always worried that something bad would happen with them, like it always did. "that makes me really happy, the way that you care for willow." he couldn't help his grin. laughing at her words, "you're one of the only people that could make me like today." he nudged her shoulder lightly, even though he had a teasing tone, it was true. ariella could always make him appreciate the fact he was alive. "how could i not like something you got me?" logan asked, opening up the present, excited to see what she got him.

logan was afraid that his invitation would go in vain. after all, he couldn’t remember the last time ariella actively wanted to see him face-to-face on purpose. but still, willow still loved ariella like her own mother, and it felt like the perfect opportunity to try and reach out again. maybe she would pity him on his birthday, after all. so, when he got out of the bathroom, seeing the love of his life ariella, he couldn’t help the grin on his face. “hey, thank you. i’m so happy you could make it.” he sat next to her, definitely not because he wanted an excuse to be near her, absolutely not! but then she slid the box over, telling him she got him a present. that he couldn’t help but blush, “you didn’t have to… just coming was enough… but thank you,” he took the box, “do you mind if i open it now?”

“of course, i think it’s long overdue that i pay willow a little visit. plus it’s nice to see you again.” she admits to the other, a smile upon her face. ariella knew that logan hated his birthday, his birthday was also the day she found out that logan and alexia had slept together before, but with all the time apart she learned to get over it. it was something in the past. “also, i know that you hate your birthday’s so much, so i thought i’d show up and make it a bit better,” she scrunches up her nose at how cheesy that sounded before clearing her throat while shaking her head. “i don’t mind at all, i just hope you like it.”

“hey, happy birthday!” ariella states as she sees the other approaching the table. she agreed to go to his birthday dinner, it’s been a while since she last saw the other and his daughter. in all honesty, she missed them a whole lot. she contemplated about coming, finally deciding that she should, especially since he was the one who reached out first. when she arrived, she easily spotted the party with a few familiar faces, there was a part of her that was glad he was in the bathroom, but now he was already back at the table. she could feel her heart pick up at the sight of him, him being so close. “i got you a little something.” she mutters, sliding the perfectly wrapped box over towards him.

“Mhm.” Portland nods,  listening to everything Lennon tells him. “Yeah, no- No I… I get it.” Portland nods. "Tour is… A lot. Its…- ugh, No, I understand.” “So… what do you wanna do?”

Lennon was happy that Portland was understandable, that he got her. Knowing others in the industry would judge her and call her crazy. “Like my brother even tried getting me as a special guest once for his show... wasn’t even a huge one... I was backstages throwing up, and never even made it to soundcheck.” It was a moment she could never forgot. She frowned, hearing his question. “Well... I guess... maybe trying something that doesn’t involve touring? Voice acting maybe?” She shrugged, knowing it was just the first thing off the top of her head. Knowing that she felt better saying something instead of a ‘I don’t know’.

Ripley missed her slow life, sleeping in, hanging out with her best friend. But for the last few months, she has been away to work on her first ever art show. Which meant she had to not only uproot her life for a while, but become an actual people’s person, which seemed worse than the former. Even though she only got back, and her suitcase dropped off at her home. There was only one place to wanted to be, knocking on Levi’s door, she waited suprisingly patiently.
