Beginning of the design:

I compiled as many references as I could in order to get a sense of what I was working with. Millie is... well, a nothing character, really. Without many strong motivations or personality traits to speak of right off the bat, aside from caring a lot about her husband, I had to really dig around to find what I needed to kickstart my design.

Above images are some studies of her scenes ! Colors are kinda vague, but my general idea was for red to be "get rid of/keep critical of", blue was just general notetaking, purple was for tracing over things, and green was "keep". While looking for these screenshots, I noticed just how often these characters are off model. This is not a bad thing, by the way. It comes with the way these characters are designed: Overly pointy, too close together, and SMALL. Recipe for disaster !

Overall notes + little "Moodboard" for the character !! If you look at the final design, you'll see that the boots there are my main inspo <3 the text is also going to come back for later sections.

These are my first cracks at her !! First are basic concepts for a silhouette, trying out some different body types and complimentary weapons, and the second is me trying to figure out how her hair should look like ! Nobody tells you how hard it is to draw like 20 different hairstyles ! It is hard !!!!! But anyway, I kept it short, because I do think Millie would want something more practical to boot, and I gave her some more muscle mass to really get that "hyper competent fighter" vibe. You can't see it super well on the finalized ref, but hopefully it still comes across !

Finally, once I settled on a hairstyle (and decided that it should look more similar to canon), I did a small ref for her turnaround ! It shows up again on the main reference, but this was also used to test out other hairstyles ! If you guys want, maybe I'll put some up in a different post.

Alright, now for our RE-WRITE !!

PERSONALITY:

- Millie is a real hothead, almost always listening to her emotions rather than her head. She will go from 8 to 800 without any provocation– And if she does have provocation? Brother you need to RUN.

- Proficient with many weapons, collects them for fun and for options in what to use in battle. Her axe, though, was a gift from Moxxie, and it's her favorite <3

- Countrygirl at heart. Very proud of her origins, and shows it through anything she can. Her boots are a great example of it- they were given to her by her sister, Sally Mae, once she grew out of them. She hates to admit it but they're one of the greatest gifts she's ever received.

- Strong connection to family, visiting as frequently as she can in Wrath. Wants to have a kid one day, but Moxxie's uncertainty puts it off for a good few years.

- Fascinated by human culture. Only signed up for I.M.P because she wanted to visit Earth and see what it was like in flesh. Constantly steals stuff from the people they kill for her collection, and almost gets caught while doing so as well.

- Cannot get drunk. Has tried before, but her constitution is genuinely so ridiculously high that Alcohol just doesn't have an effect on her. This also applies to poisons, as she has drunk it before too and it didn't even do anything. "Pussy shit", she says.

- Despite her brute force and tendency to kill, she is also really good at tracking down targets. Having growing up in what is essentially the Hunger Games Every Day, she had to learn how to trust all her senses in order to fight and kill better. So basically, she's got both brains and brawn <3

- Has several tattoos ! Usually themed around hearts, but has some also depicting a bear, in honour of her ring.

- Once she sets her mind to something, you cannot stop her. She will finish a task even if everyone around her diess !!!!!!

- Gets extremely competitive even with small tasks. Comes with the whole "wrath demon" thing, but she's also Just Like that. Will race you anywhere, at any time, for any reason, and WILL win.

- Curious by nature. Often wanders off if she sees something she likes, and then comes back 4 days later with an exotic animal on a leash and a crazy story about how she got it. Don't let her do that we cannot keep donating wolves to the shelter.

- Takes ZERO shit, even if sometimes it'd really benefit the situation for her to. Moxxie has been working with her on that though <3

- Never thinking about anything. Her brain is just empty unless she's actively focusing on something. Sometimes just stands around until she remembers she has to do something. Is it disassociating ? Who knows ! She doesn't !

POSITIVE TRAITS: Always optimistic, Adaptable, Passionate, Loyal, Hard working, Resourceful.

NEUTRAL TRAITS: Curious, Determined, Fearless, Competitive, Brutally Honest, Ambitious.

NEGATIVE TRAITS: Hostile, Stubborn, Impatient, Impulsive, Holds grudges, Forgetful.

BACKGROUND:

Millie grew up in the wrath ring with 5 other siblings and her very doting parents. Ever since she was a tot, she learned to externalize her emotions in the most brutal ways possible, taking everything out on everyone and often resorting to physical violence should the stress allow it. Otherwise though ? They're just your standard farm family, with a relatively open mind regarding their neighbors, the sinful humans who felled down the earth.

Humans in pretty much every ring are treated as below garbage, basically just stress toys for you as a demon to step on and say you have a power over something. However, Wrath is built different and there's no respect for absolutely anyone, so frankly its the best ring for humans since they'll just get grouped up with everyone else !

Millie personally was very interested in humans, because their life seemed so alien to her.. Something about the peacefulness of human life felt appealing to her, in some way. She was still a very violent person with no tolerance for anything, but a soft spot began to grow once she started interacting more with the sinners. She loved asking them about their lives— Did they have families ? Lovers ? Jobs ? mundane as they were, it sounded much better than the monotony of blood splatters everywhere. Curiosity always consumed her, so she badgered anyone who'd lend her so much as a second of their time about anything she could get her hands on. This started making her impish traits come out a little more, which lead to her making a collection of human things she'd find sometimes in the battlefield— Think of Ariels cove, but more violent a little bit. Chipped coffee mugs, glued together plates with decorations of cyanide, forks, pictures- anything she could get her little hands on was game. Her family was like, oh. Um. Well. Shes a little quirky but hey if shes happy then whatver !

Eventually, she decides she wants to pursue more knowledge, move out and see the rest of hell for what it is, and what kind of human hubris she could find there. It was just too bland in Wrath at this point, even if she was goint to miss it. As a last goodbye, she and her family decided to do one last wrestling match, of which she came out on top after punching one of her sister's teeth out (this is love in demonhood). She goes down a level to Greed, and she's just fascinated right away. It seemed closer to what people described Earth to be like, if distorted for the purposes of torturing sinners– elongated buildings with gold trimmings everywhere, with some trying to scrape off anything they could in order to make a buck. Thankfully for her, she's too violent to let any sleazy people take advantage of her, and ends up bringing the purge early on accident. Oopsies.

There, she meets Moxxie. They hit it off right away, date for a few years, get married... whole schpiel. You know how that story goes, though. They join up with Blitzø and Loona shortly after getting married for a job opportunity, and now are not legally allowed to leave anymore !!! Nd thats where the story starts :]

So, take this for now since I drew this a couple weeks ago! By the way, this isn't just some random Oc sketch, it's the cover of a story I'm writing! So once I get it done, it'll be on Wattpad for everybody to see!😊

Hii guys i have a nrw obsession now expect art and reblogs and shit to come out of it DID YOU GUYS KNOW KILLER FREQUENCY RECENTLY CAME OUT AND THAT ITS THE BEST GAME OF ALL TIME. DID YOU. PLEASE BE AWARE OF IT NOW. The setting. The characters. The story. The voice acting. The plot twists. The colors. The story. The scenary. The way everything feels so lived in. Oh my fucking god can you even begin to understand HOW GOOD THE STORY IS !!!

God where the fuck do I even begin. This game is just so compelling and cool and the atmosphere is just fucking right. The way the radio is a very simple thing to man here is especially interesting to me because its so player friendly, so you get to interact wirh everything while still paying attention to what matters; the story. Which by the way is so fucking GENIUS DUDE. A radio host being forced into the role of a 911 operator sounds fucking SICK. Helping people through radios shit rven though you yourself arent sure whats going on, finding out more lore about the town you just recently moved into, having the character of Forrest himself be shrouded in so much fucking mystery its AWESOME PLEEEWASE !!!!!!!!! PLEEE3ASW BUY THIS GAME IM FUCKING ISNANE !!!!

Game rant <3

I was gonna make this yesterday but decided against it for some reason?? Whatever, here I am again, ranting about about a silly little game, with my silly little brain 😍

The game I'm talking about is Killer frequency and MY GOD is it absolutely AMAZING!! The game is such a good mix between horror all while adding some assets of mystery and humor, and sometimes even just chilling because MAN, Is putting on a Record and sitting there talking to Peggy somewhat relaxing! Its such a good game with such a great concept that just keeps you wanting more of it, and oh boy do I want more! ( Little side note, I LOVE how the game can be scary without much jumpscares, since it has scary parts in other ways! )

For those who don't know, Killer frequency is a game where you play as a late night radio host / talker ( Idfk what there called?? 😭 ) named Foresst Nash ( I'll talk abt him later ❤ ) who is forced to take on the role of a 911 operator after an unexpected return of the " Whistling man " occurs. Just throughout the night you save people and solve mysteries and do other stuff all while trying to stop this killer. Isn't that such an interesting concept? Because oh boy do I think it's interesting!

AND THE CHARACTERS OH MY GOD, I LOVE THEM SM! I know some of them are side characters we never see again but I don't care, there all amazing and I love them! ESPECIALLY FORESST BRO- He by far my favorite ( very original aren't I? ) because I just love how he acts throughout this entire thing, he's calm but gets the job done. NOT TO MENTION HE IS SO BABY GIRL CODED 😍😍 / Hj...Moving on, I also love Peggy! She's an energetic person, yet so laid back as well! Plus, I love how she helps us so much even if she can't exit her area! She's honestly enjoyable so I'm so glad we have two enjoyable main character like characters ( Well, Foresst is the main character.. WHATEVER IDC )

Honsetly the game is amazing so if you can watch like one gameplay of it! There should be a no commentary version, but if not, you can just watch some random youtuber play it! It's an amazing game, and if you can play it, even better!

So uh yea..I'm obsessed 💀 Definitely drawing some of the characters soon though, I love this game sm not to!
