We’ve decided we’ve gotten enough interest to officially open the event! 

The event timeline goes as follows:

August 1st - August 25th: Signups open

August 26th: Signups close, writing phase begins

September 10th: (optional) Creator check-in 

September 30th: Writing phase ends

October 1st - 5th: Writer/Artist matchup

October 6th: Art phase begins 

October 29th: (optional) Creator check in

November 14th: Art phase ends

November 15th - December 1st: Finished projects posted

rules and guidelines

Rules for everyone:

all content must feature Bucky Barnes! any ship (barring ones pedophilic in nature) is allowed, but since it's a bucky mini-bang, he should be a major character.

discrimination of any sort will not be tolerated. this includes, but is not limited to: ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender presentation, disability, religion.

absolutely NO ship bashing! we want to keep the event civil and welcoming, so please follow the age-old fandom rule of don’t like, don’t read.

NSFW content is allowed and welcomed -- however, since this is an all-ages event, we ask that you tag NSFW content and put it behind some sort of barrier. on tumblr, that's a "keep reading" tag. on AO3, it's done by rating content mature or explicit. failure to do this will result in administrative action.

only 18+ people are allowed to make NSFW content.

be sure to tag content warnings such as major character death, graphic violence, adult content, abuse, non-con or dub-con.

writers are allowed to also participate as artists (and vice versa), but are not allowed to claim their own fics/art. 

stories and art must be created specifically for this event and cannot have been previously posted.

Other than what is outlined in our rules, creators are encouraged to create to their heart’s content. please enjoy and have fun!

Rules for artists:

allowed art mediums are traditional and digital art. gifsets are also allowed.

failure to communicate with mods and meet deadlines may result in being banned from future challenges.

Rules for writers:

the minimum word count for this event is 5k. the maximum word count is 10k.

edits can be made up until the reveal date, but please remember that artists will be making their companion piece in the second half of the creation period.

Rules for pinch hitters:

the role of a pinch hitter is to step in to write/create art if writers or artists drop out of the challenge. pinch hitters may drop out at any time, unless they have committed to pinch hitting for a writer/artist. dropping out after this point may result in being banned from future challenges. 

pinch hitters are not guaranteed fic/art. pinch hitters should also sign up as writers or artists if they want a guaranteed slot.

calling all writers and artists! gauging interest

recently i was going through the tags and i thought to myself, "you know what would be cool? a mini bang but for bucky barnes." enter my friend saying, "so let's do it." and here we are, i suppose.

if there was a bucky barnes (any ship or gen allowed) mini bang*, would you participate?

*writers sign up to take part in the challenge and begin writing stories. When the early drafts of the stories are available, each one is assigned one or more artists, or artists might claim stories from posted summaries. artists create fanart (illustrations and the like, fanvids, gifsets, etc) to go along with the story. since it would be our first time around, it would be a mini bang, which is a smaller commitment, designed to make it easier for busy writers and artists to participate.

if we get enough interest, sign-ups would open on August 1st!
