When I Fell In Love

When I fell in love, I fell in love with one person only and when I did I didn’t know that I was giving unconditional love already. I wasn’t conscious. In fact I was half asleep... why I said that? I had a relationship in the past and went dating but it wasn’t that much of an issue. No “spark” as most people call it... But when true love strikes it totally changes everything. And most of those changes are internal and my own baggage are exposed to me. I used to think that when a person says they love you, they should accept you the good and bad about you, but then if you think about it that phrase and concept is a bit crucial and sometimes misinterpreted. When we believe in that concept, sometimes it’s the reason why we don’t change our bad habits and some aspects within us... it’s the reason why we stay average when in fact we can still give what is expected. Yes, it’s true that the person who really love us can accept who we are but we also have to consciously think what is required from us as their partner. Yes, we didn’t ask anything from them, we didn’t ask love, time and extra efforts but are we deserving to receive it? In relationship, friendship or any type of partnership, anything given to us, no matter how big or small is a blessing, and to deserve those blessings that we receive from them we have to work on ourselves to be deserving enough to accept it.... We have to strive hard to be a better person to be worthy for our partner... When your heart is awakened by true love, it changes you as a person... it doesn’t matter if you end up with that person or not. Because when your heart is awakened by true love, it’s easier to let go and be happy.... yes, there will be pain but the pain is only temporary and the pain will heal you coz true love have a wonderful healing power.... I didn’t end up with the person I fell in love with. We broke up when I was sorting my baggages and cleaning my internal issues... but I have no regrets, in the end I can say that I made the right decision... I still miss the person from time to time but I understand why it happened and much more grateful about it and to the person because if that didn’t happen, I wouldn’t know the difference between unconditional love and the “love” that I used to know... It kick me hard to come to my senses that, commitment is working on yourself first, preparing yourself to be worthy to receive love, that you deserve it and the partner you choose deserve the love that you are giving.... You can’t reward your unconditional love to someone who chose to be an Average when in fact they have the potential to exceed being an average....

My Thoughts About Change

Yesterday, I ask someone who is my childhood friend... I asked her what kind of person I am and what are my negative traits... but her answer disappoints me because it’s in general and it didn’t address my question. But anyhow I tried to put some thoughts on her answer. What caught my attention was “change the way you live and get out of your comfort zone”.... I just said to myself that maybe she didn’t put much thought why I ask her about my negative traits and just mentioned change without knowing where I am coming from... but I didn’t take it against her though... then I realize something, most of us talk about “change” but didn’t really live with “change”. we keep saying change this, change that, but we haven’t really practice change. What I mean is, I asked about my negative traits because I want to change it and start practicing that change because it will take a lot of time before that change I am talking about sits in within.... Did you get what I mean? You can change the way you live, your career, partner or business but if you still have that internal glitch in your attitude and behavior then you can’t have the change you are talking about... If I decide to be a good writer, I have to write every day, write even if I have grammar mistakes, then correct myself and allow others to tell me my mistakes so that I can practice and change... By doing this, it can’t happen overnight, week or months... There’s a saying that goes “bad habits die hard” that’s why it’s not easy to eliminate it but it takes practice and patience to change bad habits into good... Therefore, change is not something external, it’s something internal.... You have to anchor it in your heart and in your soul to make it more effective... Because I believe that if change comes within and the change starts in your attitude and behavior then no matter what kind of house you live, the career you choose or partner, the change is effective and fulfilling... because that’s your strongest foundation....A foundation that comes from your heart which is your character.....
