In DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), the mind is seen as having three states: emotional, rational, and wise. Our wise mind is the ideal state that we strive to act from when making decisions, but simply getting to know the three is a great introduction to internal awareness. Above is a graphic explaining the three minds, alongside a journaling exercise. ✨

Welcome to BPD Club!
Hello there 💃 🕺
I’ve made this blog to start a comforting, interactive community by and for people dealing with borderline personality disorder and other mental illnesses—and it’s not gonna be another monotone psych-blog. The psychological space has been “us” and “them” for a very long time, when really we’re all just human beings trying to live.
My goal is to compile information from reputable DBT and clinical resources alongside personal experiences to design new graphics and pages that are comforting, helpful, and easily save-able. Not only are these things good to make and share; I think it’s ultra-important that we have inviting tools that don’t feel like a hospital on paper.
We know that it’s fun to drown in our sorrows together on here (like, impulse-reaction inner me is scared of therapeutic success bc I love my lana del rey 2014 skins nights... but in reality that’s manifested pain... you see what I mean), and I think we can channel that energy intro healing together too. So yeah, let’s have a chill time and see where this goes. <3
