John is easily one of the best voice actors in the game, but because Barret doesn't get enough appreciation, he doesn't either. i'm so tired of the Barret erasure man, and so is he, understandably. Barret is one of the MAIN!!! characters and he gets nothing every fucking time. WHEN will this change.

I'm utterly wiped out mentally and physically right now, but I wanted to make this post to more concisely inform everyone of what's going on with our cat Jake and our hopes of fundraising for his care.

On the morning of Nov 19 as we were getting ready for bed, I noticed Jake stumbling out of the closet where he likes to sleep, unable to get his back legs under him at all and with his head craned to the side, a position that he keeps going back to even if he uncurls briefly.

I took him to the emergency vet that morning as his own wasn't open yet, but they were unfortunately unable to provide any kind of definitive diagnosis. Today he has had a follow up exam with his personal vet, which mostly came to the same conclusions, that this is likely neurologic in nature which means we have to somehow try to afford not only the cost of a CT or MRI which can easily run thousands, but also fare to take a ride at least an hour away to see a specialist who will have the equipment for it, which I'm still investigating.

He can't properly walk, only stumble and fall as he tries to haul himself around mostly with his front legs which are also weak. He can't move his tail much. He can't hold himself up to use the litter box properly, and though I was able to get him to eat a little, and he peed twice, he wasn't interested in drinking while we had him home between Tuesday and today, nor did he have a bowel movement.

Astral and I are both really scared for our little boy right now, as literally overnight he went from his usual cuddly self insisting on occupying my lap and sleeping on my pillow to being in obvious significant distress and unable to even sit up properly, and we have no idea why or what could have caused it.

If he somehow managed to injure himself in a way that didn't affect him immediately, or if something has been developing that has only now started to show symptoms... He has been a strictly indoor cat for two years now, on our insistence, and apart from sniffles and some seriously bad breath, has been perfectly healthy all this time.

I know it's difficult for everyone these days. But please share this if you can so we can get him seen by as many people as possible, and hopefully find some answers... I'll be posting updates primarily to the GFM as they happen.
