Hijr Diary #2: Calm
Never in my life that I felt this calm in practicing Islam in a deeper meaning way. My husband and I, both started to salah on time right after Adzan. There was a time that I felt unease as I was consciously late to perform salah. It was great as I can feel something started to change in me :) Now, I frequently listen to and read Quran translations so that I can understand what I am reading. Other than that, I have a goal that I want to achieve which is memorizing Jus 30 consisting of short surahs that I can read later on in my salah.

Hijr Diary #1: A step to Hijrah
Last Friday, in an effort to become a better Muslim, I began to niyyah. began by completing a salatul fard five times a day. I completed it a few days ago. I began doing qiamullail and salatul tawbah last night. In my prayer, I sobbed because I felt inadequate. I had forgotten about Him for a while, but we were all aware that Hidayah originated with him in an instant. He was calling out to me, offering me another opportunity. This is not a time to waste. And I felt better myself immediately after. Thank you Allah, for this beautiful moment I had experienced all my life.

Book Review: Home Before Dark By Riley Sager
“... 𝙄 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙃𝙖𝙡𝙡, 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙨.”
The Book cast a shadow on Maggie Holt's upbringing. Written by Maggie's journalist father when she was very tiny, The Book is a haunting "nonfiction" chronicle of one family's short weeks of terror in a haunted home. It chronicled the weeks that their family spent in Baneberry Hall during the scariest period of their life.
Wonderful! Are you fond of ghosts? Unsettling ambiance? Ghouls? Souls? Untrustworthy individuals? If you're still reading, then obviously you do! A haunting and visually stunning tale with more turns than a bag of pretzels. In case that wasn't enough, he includes one more as a last resort. Riley Sager is, in my opinion, a master at taking a novel's storyline and twisting it, turning it inside out and upside down, only for it to right itself briefly before tricking you in all the right ways again.
I get excited whenever I come across something that can be related to a haunted home because I genuinely enjoy that kind of content. Whatever you want to name them—ghouls, ghosts, whatever—I'm down with it. I can honestly say that this book terrified me, which is tough to achieve, and its creep factor is through the sky. I was a little disappointed in the ending of the novel because, by this point, I was pretty sure I knew it. I was astonished and utterly incorrect.
The chapters that alternated between Maggie in the present and those from her father's novel, House of Horrors, were really great. Maggie and I continued our quest to discover the truth, and I was always pleasantly pleased when I was proven to be mistaken! I'm really happy with how much I like this book.
If you're a thriller lover like myself, this is the book for you.
⭐️ Rating: 5/5

Book Review: Rebel of The Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
“A new dawn, a new desert”
Being born as a girl in Dustwalk meant you were nothing. That’s the reason for Amani always dressed herself as a boy 🧍🏻and joined the shooting competition with one intention, the running away from the Dustwalk.
I felt like I was living in Amani when I read through the novel in one sitting. It was quite a quick-paced novel. Also, I was hyped up for mythical horses that were in the form of wind and sand 🐎
It is a 5🌟 for me. Can’t wait to read the sequel 😖

Embracing Eternal Love
In twilight's tender, golden glow,
Two souls entwined, a timeless show,
Embracing love, forever bound,
In a universe where stars are found.
Through every storm and tranquil night,
They dance as one, their hearts ignite,
In the embrace of endless time,
Their love, a symphony, pure and prime.
Through every season, year by year,
Their love grows stronger, crystal clear,
Like ancient trees, their roots run deep,
In love's eternal promise, they keep.
In laughter's joy and sorrow's tear,
They face each challenge, have no fear,
Their bond unbroken, forged in fire,
A love that never shall expire.
In the tapestry of life they weave,
Eternal love, in hearts they believe,
A love that knows no end or bound,
In this embrace, forever they're found.

Reading slumps
18.12.21 I think I am in a reading slump. I haven not finished a book yet since my last read of It Ends With Us. I think I am stuck to that book.
