Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.

Dexter's Matchup Form (Example)

In the storyline, Dexter is 25, while the Turtles are 23.

2. Do they make friends easily?

Dexter is a confidence man, and has a way of easily charming those around him. He can be very flirtatious, and finds his way into almost everyone's good graces-- provided they don't know his motivations. He is very hesitant to let people be close to his true self, and it usually takes a long time to earn his trust.

3. What's their area of expertise?

As a conman, Dexter is an expert in manipulation, as well as pickpocketing, going undercover, and just in general charming his way out of problems. He almost always has the situation under control, and has people playing right into his hands.

4. What are their thoughts on the NYPD?

In this storyline, the NYPD are pretty much the same as the real NYPD, and already infiltrated by enemy forces. Dexter, as a young black man from Brooklyn, DESPISES the NYPD with a passion.

5. What’s their sleep schedule like?

Dexter is up all night clubbing and sleeps well into the day– unless he’s slept over at someone’s house. Then he books it out of there as early as possible and crashes back at his shared apartment.

6. What do they nerd out over in private?

Dexter first started to learn his tricks in pickpocketing and sleight of hand due to an obsession with magic tricks. He is still obsessed with magic tricks and is constantly practicing close up magic.

7. Thoughts on kids?

Dexter’s one fatal flaw is he does not know how to interact with children at all. He gets by with magic tricks, though.

8. Sexuality?

An extremely active homosexual, through and through. Very convincing when he flirts with women, though.

9. Movies they like to watch, or books they like to read. Give examples.

He likes to read biographies, oddly enough. Also, a large amount of horror mysteries in his collection. He likes watching dark comedies such as Death of Stalin and Ready or Not. Also loves heist and conman films such as Ocean's Eleven and The Italian Job.

10. Top or Bottom? Big Dick Energy? AKA are they somebody that has a commanding presence?

Exclusively bottom, but he has massive dick energy. Power bottom, really. He’s extremely confident and self assured, and because of that he does command a room by capturing an audience.

Gaby is a year younger than the turtles, but they would have met in their early to mid twenties.

2. Do they make friends easily?

Yes! Having the gift of gab, being considered "inviting" by strangers, and her desire to know the basics of everyone who are repetitively in her life (ex. neighbors, co-workers, the driver of the bus she tales everyday, etc), helps her earn friendships quickly. She keeps a small distance from them, most of the time, it takes her a bit for her to genuinely open up to someone she considers a good/close friend.

3. What's their area of expertise?

Since she has always wanted to be a detective, Gaby has learned the arts of reading body language and solving criminal cases very well. She may be off here or there, but she has a pretty solid grip on creating profiles for crimes and putting herself into the criminal's thought process. Nobody can truly be perfect at it, but she tries her absolute hardest to be. She's great at strategy games, riddles, and most puzzles because of it!

4. What are their thoughts on the NYPD?

When she was younger, she had visited NYC a lot due to her grandmother living in the city. Her grandfather was once a police office for the NYPD, which was also an inspiration of hers to join. She views them as heroes when she was younger, but now as an adult thinks they are lacking some help big time. Which is why she has moved into her late grandmother's apartment to join the squad!

5. What’s their sleep schedule like?

Just about everywhere... She takes mostly naps instead of actual sleep. The early afternoon and a few hours before work (since she works night shift) is really only when she sleeps. Doesn't mind it though, says only sleeping five hours a day keeps her pumped (that's not a good thing)!

6. What do they nerd out over in private?

Comic books. She loves the Batman Universe the most, but really has just about very comic book you could think. She has extensive knowledge about the lore, can and will have deep discussions about character arcs/development, and says Catwoman is her favorite.

7. Thoughts on kids?

Gaby doesn't mind them at all, but wouldn't ever want to have any of her own. She's thought about it before, she would either prefer her fur babies or adoption. She also doesn't see herself being a very good mother, but that's something she tries to push down a lot.

8. Sexuality?

She is pansexual, having dated more women than men. She typically doesn't dwell on sexuality, she's very accepting of everyone and anyone, but she's of the mindset that if she feels a good connection for a couple of months with someone, she'd love to try dating if they want to as well.

9. Movies they like to watch, or books they like to read. Give examples.

Gaby likes to watch documentaries or read educational books, unless it's comic book related. She normally doesn't watch or read anything outside of cold cases, science text books (ranging from psychology, chemistry, metallurgy, and more), or even criminal justice topics. But if she sees a new Avengers or Justice League movie is out, she will immediately stop what she's doing to watch it.

10. Top or Bottom? Big Dick Energy? AKA are they somebody that has a commanding presence?

Massive switch, since she's a pretty androgynous person... She really doesn't mind whatever role is requested. She does like to be a power bottom the most. It's like a switch, she can either be very assertive and demanding or very small and weak. Typically, she enjoys letting the other person think she will be submissive before suddenly being in charge. Is known to want to be in control, but isn't as obvious as some people think.

Also wanted to add: She is 5'5" tall, befriends Casey and April first more than likely, has big brown eyes that can be described as "warming, welcoming, motherly", and has a goofy personality when she's not being serious with work. Massive workaholic, friendly, and cares deeply for others to the point she forgets to care about herself sometimes.

Part of your background that I think is very important is understanding how your character got to be at their current job position. What you're describing is a Behavioral Analyst, which is a job that is only a very tiny fraction of all law departments. However, someone being trained in criminal psychology and behavioral analysis could use those skills in detective work! These are academic endeavors, so keep that in mind for potential background on education.

Below is an excerpt I found from a page asking about becoming a detective in the NYPD. Some useful information here to consider!

[How to become an NYPD detective?]

"Join the NYPD and graduate from the police academy and begin your career as a police officer. Be as good a police officer as you can. Avoid getting any disciplinary charges for infractions of The Patrol Guide. Do good police work by making “quality” arrests. Find yourself a good “rabbi” or “hook.” That is, someone within or without the department who has influence within the department and will act as your mentor. This person will most often be a high ranking superior officer who will support your efforts to be a detective by interacting with decision makers, members of the board of superior officers who interview detective candidates. You may have to serve a while as Plainclothesman (white shield) before you get assigned as a detective (gold shield)." -John Sanders, former Lieutenant

I could see Gaby being sponsored by a higher level officer (Chief Vincent?) and busting her ass off to make detective.

Additionally, if she specializes in gang activity, you might want to consider adding to her future goals, that she's looking to specifically work in a unit investigating organized crime in the New England area. Such as the FBI, possibly. Whether or not she actually gets in is a tossup, since the programs are notoriously difficult.

Things that I'm getting from your character right off the bat:

I think she'd have good chemistry with Donatello. Now. I will admit that I have a bit of a bias towards Donatello. However, I do have some good reasons for why I think they'd work well chemistry wise.

Gaby seems staunchly anti-murder, as you mentioned her penchant for disliking those who have killed. I'm gonna extrapolate that since Gaby is very set in her morals, she doesn't condone killing even if it's a form of justice. Because of this I think her morals align more with Donatello and Michelangelo, though Mikey is certainly privy to some manslaughter unfortunately (nunchucks in the hands of an expert are lethal!), Leonardo and Raphael have definitely killed and they will do it again to keep innocents safe. They do not see anything wrong with this, and I think this could cause tension in a relationship.

As you've described, Gaby is most definitely an intellectual, even if it's not in the most conventional sense. Being a behavioral analyst, and in general studying criminology itself takes a lot of dedication-- especially if we're going the route that she wants to be in the FBI. Even if she isn't, the work she does has a highly academic background.

Donatello gravitates more towards kinder, approachable people. He's an awkward guy, and I think it'd be natural for these two to get along well, especially with her own dorky interests.

Gaby is always asking questions out of curiosity, as you've said, and in that she's very much like Donnie. Donnie is always asking questions, and seeking to learn new information. Additionally, Donnie LOVES when people ask him questions! He loves to explain what he's doing, because he's genuinely so passionate about what he does, it's not often people ask him to explain since he's at such a high level.

Insane sleep schedules! They are up at the same times most likely, and they are both very hard workers. Now this means that they both are extremely busy, but that isn't necessarily bad! I could see Gaby working on case files outside of work with Donatello in his lab, and I could definitely see him helping out in some respects from what he's seen firsthand.

Additionally, I think Donnie would be WAY into a girl with a secret dominant side.

These are just my current thoughts, but again, it's always good practice to explore other relationship dynamics! This is certainly not the end all be all for Gaby. Let me know if you have more questions!

The security alarms were still blaring by the time your nerves had settled and regardless of knowing that the guys were inside, it still didn’t shake the unease.

Working in a tech company had its benefits but suddenly being targeted for probably possessing hardware that bad guys could take advantage of was definitely not one of those pros. Hence the lockdown, the blaring sirens and now the darkened office you had been barricaded inside for the last two hours. Donnie had clearly cut the power as well as the cameras so they could get inside.

Raphael was the one that had you more worried in retrospect. You could already picture the beat down he must be dishing out to these fools, but it didn’t help to know that his anger could cloud his judgment and therefore land him in a position were he was hurt or worse…

You shook your head, clutching your phone to your chest. Donnie would give you the say so soon for sure, tell you to exit through whatever intricate escape route he hatched and soon enough you could be with Raphael.

A hard thud and something metal connecting with a nearby desk startled you. The anxiety spiked, had one of the criminals found your office? It was too dark for you to try and find an object to defend yourself. Tucking your phone back into your pocket you covered your mouth for fear of making a sound. Raph had taught you some basic defense moves, don’t stick your thumb into the fist, make sure you don’t break a wrist, aim for the throat or groin. You could do this.

But what if they had a gun?

It took too much of your resolve to not whimper. The idea alone made you shudder, there was no way this could end up being your fate.

“Baby? Baby, its alright, come out” Raphael’s voice was above a whisper but it was by far the greatest sound you had heard all evening. “It’s fucking dark, I don’t wanna accidentally kick ya, come out” You heard hesitant steps and what you assumed was his shell bump into the copier machine. You crawled out from under the desk and took a shuddering breath. “Raph I can’t see shit, just hold out your hand” You had your extended, trying to feel from something hopefully resembled scales.

In the shuffle and banging you were able to grab a hand, a very large and familiar hand and before you could let every emotion crash and wash away, you felt his forehead press against your own. “Ya alright? They hurt ya? Do anything?” You shook your head while still pressed against his own to each of his questions. Raph sighed in relief, the fact that you were warm and against him, breathing and safe.

When the police scanner had picked up what was happening he had sworn his ears had failed him, the name of your company, the word ‘hostages’.

He had almost driven the truck himself to get here.

He pulled you in closer, kissing you roughly to make sure this wasn’t some dream. Just as he felt lips react against his own, the all to familiar taste of the coffee you had had just before this insanity and the scent of your perfume that led him here…

Did he allow his heart to stop beating so quickly.

Who wore that much eye makeup to work out in, Leo thought as he rubbed his temples. He had agreed to teach you some katas, and he had assumed you would know that involved sweating. So, while your makeup looked great, it was impractical by his logic. Perhaps he should teach you a lesson. You had been dancing around one another for a few weeks now, as the feelings were shifting from good friends to something more. This could be fun. Leo grinned watching you do some light stretches before your lesson. It was time to mess up your makeup.

You glanced at Leo’s reflection in the mirror he had asked Donnie to install in the dojo. You were hoping your ass in those yoga pants would catch his eye, but he looked slightly perturbed. “Again!” Leonardo announced stern, but surprisingly cheerful.

You eyed him suspiciously. After running through those same three katas again, he asked if you wanted to spar. There was a teasing challenge in his eyes that kept you from turning him down.

“No weapons, just hand to hand combat,” he explained.

You got into what you considered a fighting stance and before you could say “go,” you found yourself on your back with a large green arm across your neck.

“Pinned you,” he grinned. “It’s like you aren’t even trying to put up a fight.”

You glared and pushed him off, “Give me a warning that we are starting next time.”

“Okay, start!” Leo announced, and you were bent forward with your arm twisted behind your back.

“Ahhh,” you whined in frustration.

Every time, he was too fast, too strong, and too cocky. Those blue eyes were mocking as you looked up at him, crouched over your body, pinning your hands above your head.

“Quit playing with me, Leo,” you steamed. “This is hardly fair!”

Suddenly, the mood shifted. The look in his visage was no longer light. As his pupils grew, darkening his eyes, you felt caught. Like prey beneath his predatory stare, you felt your body tremble.

Leo brought his mouth down to brush against the shell of your ear, and whispered, “I haven’t begun to play with you yet.”

An involuntary shiver worked it’s way down your spine. Leo breathed deeply of your scent and churred lightly. You were so incredibly turned on, it was all you could do not to buck your hips.
