„Can´t tell if I´m lucky to play your babysitter today...“
Schmidt laughed-actually laughed! - at his half hearted joke, and it did something astounding to his entire face.
The other´s nose wrinkled up lightly, the little crinkles around his eyes and the way their brown lit up like a summer night sky full of stars. White teeth that shone when he opened his mouth to let out this deep, bellowing chuckle of his, that send shivers down your spine and made you wish you were the one who made him laugh like that.
It all left Matthew in an awe...
Humans are the only mammals that show their teeth as a sign of friendliness, Matthew remembered some article he had read a long long time ago. In another life, when he had absorbed every new fact about psychology he could find. When he had spend his free time with a book, instead of a bottle and bad memories...braiding hair instead of drinking his nights away and theorizing over a case that wasn´t more than a simple tragedy in the past to everyone else, while it remained present and real in his own.
Had this chapter in my archives for over a month now and I finally got to finish it, for heaven's sake... at times it scares me how important they are to me still after over a year

There is nothing more precious to me than the fact that vampires are obsessed with numbers and counting things like nocturnal little nerds.
Like werewolves with more visible wolf traits the closer full moon comes.
Now imagining Watson in my AUs messing with Holmes with dropping down a glass of coins or whatever and Holmes is just cowering on the floor focused like never before while trying to count whatever Watson had just dropped. Funny to imagine how easily he'd be distracted on a crime scene like: "I have to count that shit right this instance!"
And Watson just has these wolf ears pop up from time to time and Holmes can't help but pet them

Mike Schmidt. Mike SCHMIDT.
Mike knows german and you can't convince me otherwise (my tiny german heart needs this, okay?.)
He uses it rarely but mostly slips back into that language when he's swearing and...can you imagine how utterly confused Ness would be when Mike stumbs his toe and he just starts swearing like a drunk german sailor?
Plus, he finds it oddly endearing because he expected german to sound aggressive or rough when in reality it jusg doesnt (trust me please>.>) and his knees go weak when Mike whispers I love you in german.
I'm pretty sick (caught corona again -.-) and I try to stay sane with these two and I'm actually trying to write a new chapter for the Cops x Robber AU despite ny head feeling line its about to burst

Vanessa decided right there and then, that there weren´t any words needed to explain her point. So she merely lifted up the empty beer bottles she had found early in the morning besides Matthew´s sleeping silhouette, the clinking of the glass echoing in the sudden silence between them, almost taunting. Recognize these?   She watched the other slowly put down his coffee mug as he stared at them. Just stared at them, as motionless as a statue.   He didn´t react in any way...but his eyes... The look on Matthew´s face was one of defeat, of guilt...like a puppy which had been confronted with the toy it had destroyed in in a fit of aggressive playfulness. Who had meant no harm at all...
Its been a while since I last updated...but I thought I couldnt abandon this fic before the two of them met properly. I don't know if anyone still cares about this ship or my stories, but I'll continue to post anyway because I've been doing this mainly for me and the tiny community this ship had on here, haha. Writing stories for them had been my escape from reality for some months. My interests keep changing and I don't know when or how I'll continue this, but... i will whenever I feel motivated for this project

Hot Take:
Ness is pretty skilled at stackling countless dishes and cutlery on his hands and forearms due to his training as waiter...while Mike will drop everything once he has to carry two plates of food at once.

The Sussex Vampire, The Hound of the Baskervilles...
I need a universe, an AU, in which supernatural creatures, such as vampires, werewolves, ghouls and all that actually exist.
I read fics like this, in which Watson and Holmes usually are a werewolf and a vampire.
Now I think it would be kinda amusing if only Watson was one of the supernatural and Holmes a normal human, who's fascinated by him and other creatures like a little kid, who studies them to get rid of bad prejudices.
Most people who meet him just assume he does it because he's one of them, since most of his habits point to him being a vampire... Him not eating or sleeping for days, his strength in spite of his sickly appearance, his sharp senses...and he usually just goes along with it, lmao. At times it even helps him during a case

Werewolf Ness
Watching that Alvin and The Chipmunks meet the Wolfman movie reminded me of this post I made a while ago. Let me expand the werewolf Ness idea with this specific movie in mind.
Now the plot about Alvin accusing their neighbor of being a werewolf would be kinda funny with Mike, Abby and Ness, but now this time it's Abby making up all kind of conspiracy theories.
So Ness is their new neighbor in this, who's very reserved in the beginning and doesn't talk to anyone. All this arouses Abby's suspicion, who'd been secretely reading Mike's monster and horror comics he'd owned since his teen years.
Promptly, this new Mr Sparky next doors became one of the creatures in her books, tho her most recent theory is that he is a werewolf, of course, Mike only rolls his eyes about this and she feels forced to collect enough evidences so her brother believes her.
Now, Ness isn't stupid, he of course notices her snooping around but doesn't do anything since she doesnt appear like a big threat, only when Abby looses sth (maybe her notebook or so) on his property, he rings on their door to return it and take the chance to introduce himself awkwardly. Abby popps up too while they talk, and she explained that she just wanted to take a look at his dog, because she hears it howling at night from time to time, but has never seen it. Ness nervously explains that he doesn't own a dog.
Mike apologizes for her behavior and promises it won't happen a second time, but Ness is distracted by the rising full moon, so he says it is alright (he doesnt hold a grudge anyways) and pretty much flees back to his house.
Mike is holding a lecture...but it doesnt really stop Abby in her task to prove her theory and they kinda argue.
"Isn't it suspicious I hear it howling from his house, even tho he doesnt own a dog?"
"Not this again...."
"Mike, I'm serious, something about him gives me the creeps..."
It goes on like this for some weeks, Abby not finding any strong evidences to convince Mike, instead making him more and more impatient until he forbids her to watch and read anything that has to do with monsters.
Ness is always polite when they cross ways and even helped them with their flower bed once. (He disappeared quickly that day, Abby was pretty convinced it was because of the wild wolfsbane growing in their garden).
Soon, however, he learns that his sister had been right all along. Maybe because one evening he had visited Ness to apologize for sth Abby did and ended up seeing him transform into a wolf.
Mike is horrified, flees and hides with Abby. Despite his fear, he can't help but feel bad for Ness.
So in the morning, when Ness is himself again, Mike once again knocks on his door. Ness opens hesitantly, terrified of himself, remembering that Mike had been with him the night prior, but they have a talk about everything and Ness ends up explaining a lot about his kind.
They become friends quickly and as a were, Ness quickly becomes attached to those humans.
They fall in love, blabla and thats pretty much how Mike got himself a werewolf husband who's protecting them like a guard dog.
I know this is dumb and niche but Its been too good in my mind🥺

To think that, out of ALL THINGS, an Alvin and the Chipmunks movie send me right back into my teen years and into my obsession for supernatural creatures, especially werewolves and all kind of other half creatures.
I just rewatched Alvin and The Chipmunks meet the Wolfman in German because Nostalgia hits harder when you watch stuff in your mother tongue...
I realized Talbot and Dr House share the same voice actor in German and I don't know what to do with that connection in my mind. With that voice, I almost expected him to give Alvin some medical diagnosis based on his behaviour, lmao.
Klaus-Dieter Klebsch' husky voice is oddly fitting for that character, and it made all those memories crashing back and I remember how much Talbot scared me as a kid, lol.
He even made Talbot's confused noises sound like a bark which is a nice touch

After reading through some of the old stories again, I once again became victim of my Sherlock Holmes obsession.
And I remembered how much comfort this character always gave me as someone on the aro-ace spectrum. Even tho I couldnt put my finger on what exactly was going on with me for the longest time, I felt less weird when reading about him. He helped me putting the puzzle pieces together. And instead of feeling weird or broken, I feel somewhat proud of my identity.
He and Watson became the two sole characters I keep coming back to, no matter how much my interests changed over the years, maybe because the two of them combine the characteristics I'm most conscious about and they help me appreciate them.
Their stories and friendship had helped me so many times when I felt lonely.
Whenever i get back to them, it just feels comfortable and cozy, like putting on an old movie on a rainy day.
Like coming back and being greeted by and old friend.

Playing Detective Pikachu Returns really brings back so many memories from when I played the first game and got excited about the Movie being announced.
So crazy to think it's already been six years.
The one thing I'm sad about is how the darker atmosphere of the movie didn't make it possible to add some of the charaters I came to love in the first game.
Like Mr Waals and his former assistant Simon. I really wonder what happened to him and his Pansage after he helped Tim. My poor boy deserves better after being held captive in a small backroom for more than six months.

Securitywaiter....
Pokémon AU? Like in Detective Pikachu where they are just helpful companions.
Abby and Smeargle anyone? Them drawing together?
A Ludicolo working at Sparky's, helping Ness at his waiter job. And Ness partner Pokemon outside work is a pansage that shares its leaves with Mike and Abby's Pokémon when they're not well while Ness cooks for them or makes sweets when they're having a rough day
Mike with a Gengar because...I feel like they'd just vibe. And a Phantub since it reminds him of Garrett because its Pokedex literally says its the ghost of a deceased child posessing a tree trunk? (If I remember correctly lol)

Detective Ness returns!
Of course Vanessa had noticed they were gone longer than intended.
"If you guys are ready, the kids were looking for you. I think they want to hear another story about the police wolf before we all go trick or treating", she now said, bringing Mike back to reality.
"Oh, if they want a story, then they shall get one", Ness said, making a show of clasping his hads together before straightening his tie.
Soooo... I actually decided to continue this little series about Ness acting as The Detective because, as much as I enjoy writing my other stories...they and the angst drain me. I wakted to get back to the fluffy beans, to my roots, to what Securitywaiter had been to me in the beginning and still is...a fluffy comfort ship I write about when I'm sad.
So you'll get more of Ness as The Detective and maybe Mack and some other characters in the future.
Hope you guys enjoy this series being continued!
