People talk about the physical pain of migraines, but they can lead to emotional pain too.

A lot of times when I have a migraine and I'm forced to lie in bed all day, it can be triggering because it reminds me of when I would be in bed with one as a teenager, and I would get bullied about it by my step-mom. She didn't believe I was actually in pain, or at least that the pain was as bad as it was. She thought I was just lazy.

It went as far as her spending a day in bed and loudly, repeatedly announcing to the family that she "just wanted to see what it felt like to be Sydni for a day".

And she wonders why I went no-contact with her lol

Things I'm doing by the end of 2024:

-getting an IUD

-applying for a passport

-purchasing a non-lethal weapon for defense, such as a taser or stun gun

-purchasing a small stock of plan B for those I know who may need it (shelf life of 4 years)

This has turned out to be a very bad day and I should have just gone into work

My introverted ass hasn't had a proper break from being social in over a week and I am finally alone in my apartment and I took tomorrow off work to see no one and I am so excited

Sometimes I swear my brother and I were raised by different parents bc why did I have to explain to this 31 year old that it's rude to show up to a launch event for a non profit, eat their food, not participate in any of their activities, and not donate anything. It's not a fucking soup kitchen it's literally a fundraiser.
