I finally got it. That miserable face Solas makes when he walks away from Lavellan after confessing that he loves her.

In truth, it’s a far more interesting expression than I thought. From the short period we see it in the cutscene, he looks upset, mostly, perhaps with a little bit of despondence in regards to his actions. I don’t see regret in the screenshot though. His gait when he leaves is stilted like he’s in a daze, and his expression is more forlorn and distant than I initially expected. He’s walking away from Lavellan in a haze, like one does when they wake up from an intense dream and have yet to completely cement themselves in reality..He invites her to talk and is probing, inquisitive himself, but he’s completely blown away when she turns the tables on him, dragging his emotions out of him. He’s in a head fog when he leaves, more in love with her than when they started the conversation mere minutes ago.

Oh also, happy valentine’s day!
