OK I kinda hate this but i haven't posted in this fandom for ages (sorry yall I've had like no inspiration for ages) so uh here's a Xanthous I use as a reference for my other sketches

For Tangerina, I decided it would be better (and much nicer) if the honeycomb part of her outfit was the corset instead of making her have a square honeycomb skirt. I wanted a more regal queen bee vibe more than anything? She's THE queen bee—she's got little gold and orange accessories, a gold headpiece, and bracers. There's also honey to sell the bee vibe. Additionally, she has a translucent mini fabric cape that is made to mimic bee wings!!

Her hair is different from how I usually draw it actually. I wasn't going to make it a literal beehive, so she's got actual hair. It's a half-up half-down hairstyle so she still has that "beehive" style she's described with, but also a way to differentiate how I draw her hair from Emerelda. Tangerina has always had curly hair to me personally! It's how I've drawn her hair in all the times I've drawn her.

And then sharper eyes + beauty marks!

For Skylene, she's honestly stayed more or less pretty consistent in design? It's because I draw her a lot 😭.

She's got long waterfall-like hair that does that waterfall thing as it hits the ground. Going with that waterfall vibe, I did want to add the seafoam that usually happens in beaches when the water hits the sand? She has it around the part of her bangs that frame her face and stuff!!

I've always seen her with a long-length column (?) dress type of outfit with gloves because she's got that elegant vibe. It kind of fades from fabric to a magically enchanted water-like material, directly shifting into that waterfall near the bottom! There's a little crown/headpiece made of pearls and a sapphire shaped as a water droplet because it's something I've always incorporated when I draw her!

She's got pearls and a waterlily + kelp to pin the side of her gown too. More pearls everywhere!!
