Today is the The Transgender Day of Remembrance, also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance. It is a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. It is a day to draw attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community. I struggle with humans so fucking much.. Disposable, editorial in @laudmagazine • • I had such a fun day on this shoot in London.. It was my birthday and I was doing the @masteredhq makeup accelerator and it was the best experience of my life.. However I still remember even at the start of this year how sheepish I was to send stories off as my editorials constantly get rejected by magazines to this very day. But I sent it to Laud anyway.. And it was accepted. If I had one piece of advice to give, it would be to do what you want to do.. Do not listen to anyone who wants to put you into a box that they believe you should be in because they are limited by their own experience. I cried my eyes out continuously when all these amazing experts I was being put in front of were litteraly all telling me the same thing- That it was too much, no one would accept it and one even told me that I would only ever make something from myself if I assisted someone for a few years no one would ever pay me for my work and that it would always just be personal work, well.. Not only has my work been accepted but there is litteraly a new magazine created for work just like mine that has no home @laud_unleashed And I’m one of the fucking Editors!!! So if you believe in something fucking do it every day and block anyone out who doesn’t share your vision.. I am a showman.. I grew up onstage and I love the idea of creating things live and not relying on digital enhancement. So yes this image is real. The face installation I created was lit from the inside and those are real hot embers in the fire pit the model is laying in. And most importantly in a world where makeup artists rely on the term ‘just fix it in photoshop’ photographers know not to alter my work or else 🔪🔪🔪 When I get to call the shots I put together a team that can create magic on the spot..
