When philadelphia eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts starts kicking(?) the ball, someone else starts singing…

Lights flash everywhere, and you see Dan and Phil singing "The Terrible Influence Song” while the chiefs and the eagles tackle each other homoerotically. Everyone in the crowd is going wild and crying. Then if things couldn't get any better, they let Phil Lester kick the football, which flies into the stands and into Donald Trump’s face, killing him instantly.

The BBC have informed the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, Equity and the Society of Authors that as of April 2025 they will be making dramatic cuts to the output of Audio Drama on BBC Radio 3, completely eradicating audio drama from Radio 3.

This change will see not only essential jobs and employment opportunities for creative workers slashed, but programming of new material and new performers totally gone. The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, Equity and the Society of Authors have written a letter to ask the BBC to reconsider these cuts and to save Audio Drama.

2025 Audio Fiction Convention

AuFiCon is almost upon us! For those that don't know, AuFiCon is a virtual community event hosted by the Podcast Book Club. Panels will be run over Twitch, with our Discord server hosting most everything else. The con is scheduled on a 24-hour basis to accommodate as many timezones as possible (with the schedule above listed in GMT), and events will be recorded for those that can't catch the live panels.

Additionally, we'd like to announce that we will be hosting an equipment giveaway during the convention!
