                  fascinating.   in a sense.   there was a precious little that could still capture the child’s interest in these solemn days, but at least the creature seemed a modicum more worthy of his time than anything else he’s seen in the past few weeks. he would take his entertainment where he could get, for such entertainment had become the only pastime still worth anything to him.

         children, in this age, have grown cynical.  there is a lack of impression in voice, but to this, the beast takes no offense.  it comes to some interest, however, that this whelpling of a child had lent hand in creating vast universes. his sole mission was to scour the great expanse, find civilizations worthy of his aid -- yet this child had done so much more than that.
