This one was taking a bit long, so I kinda rushed the end. It's obvious! Honestly, this evolution of Pokemon is really boring, so I'm kind of glad I got it out of the way. There will be plenty of boring transformations to come, but right off the bat? Man.

A little Ivysaur tonight. This was a pretty quick one. I started on another drawing, but forgot I wanted to do a Pokemon this evening, so I went for one. Some color and shading problems here, and not a whole lot of textures, but at least I'm getting quicker at this sort of thing. I wanted to do a different style than the Bulba I drew, but I couldn't get away from this eye style. The original eyes I had done on Bulbasaur were pretty terrifying (not the ones I posted), so I went back and tried something different. More anime-style eyes again. They're pretty fun/easy.

Just a fun drawing from last night. I'm pretty new to tablet drawing, so I'm still learning a lot, but god do I like it more than the old method. I basically stopped posting drawings online due to the tedious task of drawing/scanning/photoshop/coloring/gaaaah. This took me less than an hour. It used to take me that long just getting the blue lines out.

OK. My new year's resolution was to draw all 151 Pokemon, one per day, every day. Considering my past resolutions (last years song per week, for example), I told myself if I missed a day, I'd be fine with drawing all 151 by the end of the year (still only one per day, just not every day). Well, my January first hangover passed, and here we are with our first Pokemon, five days into the new year. This was finished last night, so I'm gonna try and get #2 up tonight. I really like setting year goals, so I'll talk about some of those in the coming posts.
