I definitely meant to post this yesterday, but I guess I just procrastinated on this as well. But this past week was certainly something. The campus was so bleak on Wednesday, everyone, myself included, was so down after those election results. Not what I wanted to wake up to see. However, the weekend was pretty decent. I finished the current event discussion post, reviewed choreography, and found music for a piece. I also decided to relearn physics on my own! I found lectures from a college physics one class on YouTube, and I started to relearn it. It's really satisfying the math part of my brain!

Overall, this weekend was pretty good. I wrote my paper on Giselle, which I never knew about some of the different versions of the ballet, and I find the way how the Willis are often changed to represent how women were exploited in different time periods and cultures to be so intresting. I love Giselle even more now! I also had the first rehearsals for the next dance concert, and I'm enjoying the piece! And I slept through a tornado warning. I hope yalls weekend went well.

So it's been a few weeks, I had multiple auditions, fall break, and some rest, but this weekend, it was time to actually do stuff again. I worked on some choreography and a warm up to teach tomorrow, and I started the reading assignment for my ballet class. I also voted! Well, I haven't sent the ballot yet, as I have to do mail in ballot, but once I find where on campus I can send mail, that will be done. I'm also finally registered for my classes next semester, and even though I had to change my minor, I'm excited for them.

I've completed my first college dance concert! And it went really well, even though I had to go on for the piece I understudy for. Anyways, performance week meant I had no time for homework, so I did my entire dance critique paper today. I also meant to work on my presentation that's due this week, but that did not happen, so I'll be doing it tomorrow.

I finally wrote the essay I've been procrastinating on! However, that does mean I now need to work on the presentation I've also been procrastinating. Also, tech week for the dance concert starts on Monday, involving rehearsals from 5:30 to 11:00 every night. I'll be tired, but it'll be fun.

I'm pretty happy with today. I woke up early to do a load of laundry before rehearsal this morning. Then, after rehearsal, I walked over to a coffee shop to work on an essay, and I actually did stuff, unlike the other times in my dorm this week when I said I would do that essay. This evening, I had three more hours of rehearsals and finally finished the discussion post I've been procrastinating. I really wish I could work like this more often, but I'm glad it happened today.

Edit: ok, small update but I just took a shower and for the first time ever, the shower actually heated up to 100°F! I love taking hot showers, this made me very happy.

Today was actually pretty great. I woke up early, did laundry, then got coffee and felt so awake and ready for ballet. It was a great class. Then, this afternoon, I went to the random needle felting activity and made a tiny mushroom plant. It's not the best, but I think it turned out cute, and I named it Oliver. Hopefully, the rest of this week goes as well as today.

Overall, today was pretty good. I finished my reading for modern, studied vocab by beginning to make a quizlet, plus I was able to watch some tv. However, my class did have a different teacher for ballet today, and I almost cried during class, but I have hopes that tomorrow's class will be better, and hopefully he doesn't teach that class tomorrow.

Hi, so I originally made this blog to record my homework daily to try and keep myself productive and on top of things, and it worked! Since I'm planning on continuing this, with some mild changes, I thought I'd introduce myself a bit.

This morning was lovely, I went to a beignet shop and read one of my favorite books. I also finished my reading and notes after rehearsal this afternoon. Hopefully tomorrow I'll finish the writing and do the homework for my other class.

Two weeks into college, and I'm getting real assignments to do now. I did a decent amount of notes tonight, but I kept getting distracted by the music I was listening to since I'm trying to find a song to choreograph to. The goal will be to finish the notes tomorrow and write the response on Monday.

Day 49/50

So formats a bit different today because I didn't really do anything. I mean, I did hang out with some friends for a few hours, but other than that, I was mainly just on my phone. However, I am justifying this by saying that this feels like my first real day of summer, so it's fine that I did nothing. Besides tomorrow starts more dance to prepare for final competition, so I'll be productive then.

The grad party went well, so that's good. I really should have either made this challenge shorter or started it sooner because these last several days have felt a bit pointless to do, but at this point, I have to finish. I also finished re-reading the book "we Are the ants," and I forgot how many parts of that book I love. There are some parts of the humor that aren't my style, like at all, but there are also several lines that I love so much, and overall is a beautiful story.

I feel so tired today since I spent all day running to stores or at grad parties. However, it was a really fun day. I'm not usually the most social person, so throwing my own grad party is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I'm making it work and I think I will have a lot of fun.
