Ava wiped her lips and fingers with her napkin before leaning back and listened to what Clint was saying and couldn’t help but smile a little bit because he was still nervous about what he was going to ask her. She held her wine glass and hummed as she listened, and when bucky cut him off and actually asked Ava looked at them both and blinked a few times rapidly.

“I can definitely train with you yeah, but I am not strong at all, hence why I do magic and not hand on hand combat,” she explained before she crossed one arm over her chest and sat more comfortably. “So,” she started and cleared her throat. “Because I do magic, and because I’m over sensitive to tension and feelings and stuff like that… what’s going on?” She spoke and smirks.

“Because I can tell by your babbling that there’s something you both are avoiding, and I don’t think I would even need to be over sensitive to know so,” she spoke and chuckles. “So whatever it is just.. shoot. Tell me. I don’t bite.. hard,” she spoke and winked.

Bucky took a seat as Clint brought the glasses to the table.  Bucky opened the bottle and poured them each a glass.  “Help yourself,” Clint said.  “It’s from Ray’s which is the best in Manhattan, but not the best if you include Brooklyn.  But Bucky said it would be crazy for me to go over to Brooklyn for pizza when there’s perfectly good pizza here.”

“Clint is a pizza addict.  And coffee.  You’ll get used to it,” Bucky said.

“You find everyone intimidating?” Clint asked as he sat down.  “They’re all nice.  Sometimes obnoxious, but good.  But yeah, Nat’s the best one.  Besides us of course.”

Bucky stifled laughter and began putting salad on his plate.

“We’ll we did have to do something over in Arizona.  There was a weird thing with AIM, but it was pretty easy to fix up.  Do you fight?  You could come down and train with us if you wanted.”

Clint was babbling because he didn’t really know how to broach the subject of a threesome.

Ava bit her bottom lip and nodded her head. She walked to the table and smiled softly as Bucky pulled out a chair for her. “No, don’t be sorry. I just overthink things, and since I didn’t hear from you I just assumed I scared you off,” she spoke and stroked Buckys arm gently before sitting down and thanked Bucky.

“This all looks so good.. I absolutely love garlic bread,” she spoke happily and smiled looking at them both and sat up straight in her seat and glanced up at Bucky one last time and smiled a bit. “It’s kind of you to invite me over none the less. I felt quite intimidated by everyone else in the group but Natasha so I’ve just been hiding out reading,” she spoke honestly and chuckles.

“So, what you been up to? I heard you where missing me, so I bet you talked a lot about me,” she spoke playfully as she played on about what Clint had said earlier and chuckles.

Bucky furrowed his brow at Ava’s admission, a sharp twang of guilt hitting him.

“What?” Clint said. “No.  I told you it was fine.  Right, Buck?”

Bucky nodded. “I’m sorry,” he said softly.  “It wasn’t your fault.  Everyone always says that to me.  It’s just a sore spot.”

Clint patted Ava on the shoulder.  “See.  It’s all good.  We’re fine, right?”  He gestured to the table where pizza, salad, and garlic knots were already laid out.  “Take a seat.  Food arrived just before you did.

While Clint went to the kitchen to get them some wine glasses, Bucky pulled out a chair for Ava.  “Sorry,” he said again.

Ava smiled as the door opened and gasps seeing Lucky. “Oh my! Look at you!” She spoke happily and greeted Lucky before coming inside and chuckles softly and smiled softly. “Yes I did,” she spoke and smiled looking over at Bucky.

“Hi,” she spoke shyly and rubbed the back of her neck before handing the bottle of wine to Clint. “I thought I completely fucked up the last time we talked so I was surprised to see you all wanting to contact me at all,” she spoke honestly and smiled.

“Thank you, you don’t look to bad either, but you’re both hot no matter what,” she spoke and smirks a bit and looked at Clint again.

After taking a shower and getting into some casual and comfy clothes, some black leggings that hugged her hips and legs perfectly and a tank top that showed off her curves on her upper body aswell. She headed to their door and bit her bottom lip as she stood there for a while debating if she wanted this confrontation if this is what it would be.

But she held the bottle of wine close and took a breath as she knocked on the door and waited for one of them to answer.

He almost sighs in relief when she finally says yes.  “Okay, great,” he said.  “Ummm…  I don’t know… six-thirty?  Seven?  It’ll be pretty casual, so if you have a preference, that’s fine.”

He turned to Bucky and gave a thumbs up.  Bucky smiled, stifling a laugh and returned the thumbs up.

Ava chuckles and smiled as she blushed nodding as she leans her head back against the chair she was sitting in. “Oh definitely, been crying myself to sleep,” she joked along and laughed a bit before she continued listening to him and she did not expect that.

“You want me to come over for dinner?” She spoke and wrinkles her eyebrows. An hour of silence in her mind meant they didn’t want anything to do with her so that’s why she didn’t reach out not knowing if that’s was the case of course but.. she just didn’t. “I mean.. yeah sure,” she spoke finally.

“I’ll bring over some wine. I have a wine obsession,” she spoke and chuckles a bit as she got up. “When should I be there?” She spoke gently.

“Oh we have been pining,” Clint joked.  “I bet you have been too, right?  I’m sure we left a huge impression.”

He tapped his foot and began to pace again, Lucky following at his heels.  “Hey… so are you doing anything tonight?” he asked.  He didn’t want to just ask for a threesome over the phone, but maybe some beer and pizza would help make the request easier.    “Do you want to come and hang out with us tonight?  We can get pizza.  Do you like pizza?”

Bucky was surprised when Alpine took to her so quickly and he smiled.  He was much more likely to trust a person if the pets liked them.

“Oh,” Clint said, a little surprised. “Well, it was really nice to meet you.”

The two men headed out for their trip to the farmers markets together.

“Look at you,” she cooed and scratched under Alpines chin as she looked at Bucky and listened to his words nodding softly. “Well she’s very beautiful and she’s lucky to have someone like you to take care of her,” she spoke carefully not wanting to overstep or anything.

“They are both amazing,” she spoke happily and smiled a bit as she looked down at her phone and huffed. “Stephen wants to call and update me on some stuff, how about I join your walk another time?” When it came to Stephen she felt enormous pressure. It was clear on her face as she spoke about it.

Stephen had been… just awful towards Ava really, and she didn’t like confrontation so instead of saying he was being a real asshole, she just let him walk all over her. Bucky didn’t walk over her but instead of him feeling like the bad guys she took the blame. “I can.. see you guys later? I’ll be here,” she spoke and smiled gently looking between them. “Don’t miss me to much,” she spoke before walking off.

“Yeah, he’s the best.  That’s one of the reasons why I call him Lucky.  Because I feel Lucky to have him around,” he said.  When Bucky came out, Clint stood and took the lead, putting it on the dog.

“Thanks,” Bucky said. “I found her as a baby.  She’s so pretty, I don’t know why anyone would have abandoned her.”

Alpine sniffed Ava’s fingers and looked up at her.  She meowed softly and then rubbed her face on the blonde’s hand.  “Hey, look at that,” Clint said. “She likes you.  She only likes the best people.”

Ava looked at Clint and nodded softly as she bit her bottom lip. As Clint leans down Ava smiles as she listened to Clint and stroked Luckys back loving how the soft fur felt under her hands. “Aw, are you the best dog in the world,” she spoke happily and smiled gently looking at Clint and just admired him for a moment before Bucky entered.

She looked up and smiled a bit as she looked at the cat and moved herself a bit and got up before slowly walking over and smiled softly looking down at the cat and held her hand out gently for her to sniff being vary of how close to Bucky she got not wanting to upset him again. “Hello, beautiful,” she cooed looking at the cat waiting to see if she was approved or not. “Both of your animals are so adorable. I’m so envious.” She spoke and chuckles a bit.

Clint patted Lucky as the dog did his best to lick the new arrival at the door. “Don’t need to feel guilty though,” he said gently.  “You were trying to be nice and he’ll get over it.  He probably feels guilty for saying it and he shouldn’t feel guilty either.  It’s not something that should just hang in the air any time you’re around each other.  You know?”

He crouched down and ruffled Lucky’s fur. “You need to settle down, mister,” Clint said.  “He lost his eye saving my life,” he explained.  His old owner tried to beat the shit out of me, and he got between us.  He’s been with me ever since.”

Bucky returned to the door with Lucky’s lead, a couple of tote bags, and a white cat with bright blue eyes tucked into his coat.  “This is Al,” he said, scratching the cat behind the ears.  “Just be careful if you try and pat her, she can be iffy with strangers.” 

With ADHD, anxiety was also very normal to come with it. The fear of hurting people or saying the wrong thing because she speaks before she thinks. She always think the best in people, even from her parents that had treated her like shit when she was younger. She didn´t like to see the bad in people, and Bucky wasn´t bad. He was brainwashed. That much she knew, and that wasn´t his fault. When she felt Clint take her hand she jumped a little bit mostly because she didn´t see the gesture coming. She looked up at him and searched his eyes for a moment before nodding and smiled a bit before chuckling. "Lucky is definitely better than Pizza Dog," she spoke and chuckles a bit licking her bottom lip before walking inside with them and gasps as Lucky came running towards them making Ava instantly lower to her knees. "Oh my godness, hello," she spoke happily and laughed and giggles as she was petting Lucky and smiled widely. "God, dogs are just amazing," she spoke happily and sighs a bit before she looked up seeing Bucky disappear and bit her bottom lip before looking back at Lucky and smiled happily as she kept gushing over him before hearing Clint speak up again. "Oh," she spoke and cleared her throat. "No it´s fine, I´m a complete stranger and I went forward way to fast, so it´s my fault," she spoke quickly taking the blame and nodded.
