Have you ever done a blind contour?

It's when you draw someone/something, but also keep your eyes away from the canvas as well as maintaining contact with it and your medium the entire time.

I like it because it really helps one pay mind to what exactly they are observing as they draw in this way. I've noticed for myself, that I will "zoom" in and out as I take stock of what I see, which has my drawing larger and smaller in areas.
