As a long time Adventure fan (and 01 Supremacist), I simply have to inform you that MOST OF US WANT FRONTIER TO GET LOVE TOO. Tamers as well, but Tamers has gotten at least a few sequel dramas, I’m not sure Frontier even got that!

Most everyone I have talked to regarding Adventure feels that it shouldn’t have gotten Tri, that Kizuna was a good ending, and that everything else has been excessive. While a lot of the fandom has died down post-Covid, the pieces that remain that I’m in contact with want Adventure to have a meaningful ending and to be put to rest, and we’re hoping that’s what Kakudou is cooking up with this new animated piece for Adventure.

We felt Adventure ended fine enough with 02; it wasn’t great, especially from a shipping perspective, but Tri made things so much worse. Kizuna was a perfect ending point (bc that’s what it was meant to be), but it did so well we got Beginnings and IMO that was another flop bc of lore implications.

Because of this, a good amount of us feel TOO pampered too and would rather other series get the spotlight they deserve, and IMO Frontier is the most deserving. It’s easily the coolest season and there is so much potential for worldbuilding and cool designs. It would be a perfect chance to retcon the silly Fusions like Daipenmon (it should have been Vikemon!!!), introduce Fusions for the evil Spirits, and even give us more Transcendent forms! Or explore Spirit Jogress!

As a frontier fan….. I very much appreciate you.

I have some running gags/headcanons in my personal version that I would love to share if u don’t mind, bc the digimon autism is strong.

Agunimon is a chaotic bisexual who is also a dumbass mf, who is a rare Agunimon for his red stripes instead of black

Lobomon is a gay neurodivergent mf who does have hidden digitigrade legs (seen bent at a certain angle), and CAN grow fur. (Plus a fluffy tail and wolf ears under the helmet). He’s also the boyfreind best friend of Agunimon

Kazemon can kick everybody’s ass

Beetlemon is that gym bro type friend with Agunimon, and Kumamon is basically the little brother of Agunimon

They have a secret base in some cave and each room is based off their element (lwk a TTG ref)

Since we're just a couple days away from a Digimon-related announcement on January 5, any theories regarding what the announcement in question might be? Some people, myself included, think it might be a next gen anime focusing on the 02 epilogue kids (I'm also hoping this hypothetical next gen anime would also feature the kids of the heroes from the other Digimon animes).

My hope? Is that Frontier gets the remake it deserves.

That being said, realistically? It’s gotta be related to Digimon Adventure 01 or 02. Because those two seasons get the most love.
