Reviving this atrocity for @azrielappreciationweek Day 5: No Need For Poetry.
A little late but worth the wait?
🌹
Roses are red,
Ivy is green;
When I'm with you
I always feel Seen.
🌹
Roses are red,
Daisies are yellow;
I need more of the leaf
That made me so mellow.
🌹
Violets are blue,
And roses are red;
Where are you going?
Come straight back to bed!
🌹
It's not her fault this time, but let's blame @tswaney17 anyway! 😂
Azriel is in his feelings, and churning out terrible poetry
Happy Valentine's/Galentine's Day to everyone! May your day be better than this shitty attempt at poetry.
🌹
Roses are red,
Violets are blue;
Your love is a gift
And I treasure you.
🌹
Roses are red,
Violets are blue;
I want your potatoes,
Your mash and your stew.
🌹
Roses are red,
Violets are blue
Just like my balls—
I need to taste you.
🌹
Any and all complaints can be forwarded to @tswaney17 for her encouragement.

Roses are red,
And Rhys is a dick;
If I can't have you
I think I'll be sick.

Ahh, thank you! And right? It really was a giant miscalculation on Azriel's behalf. Now he knows for next time, but Nyx will never let him forget.
Also, I realised afterwards that "Dad" is probably not a word they use in Prythian...
A Snowball's Chance in Hell
Poem in plain text below the break.
Rhys' face was all surprise As snow ran down his cheek, If only he could use magic; His track record? It's bleak.
Cass can use a sword with skill; A bow? He topped the class. But when I caught him unawares, He still fell on his arse.
Who got me in the end? You ask, I'm not ashamed to tell; Nyx, at ten, in his first fight, His dad and uncles fell'd.
Happiest of birthdays to @impossiblescissorspeachpaper, you absolute gem. Thank you for being such an amazing friend. Love ya. 🖤

Who knows whether it was beginner's luck, or Nyx is a natural, especially having learnt from his parents, not to mention all of his uncles and aunties?
And I'm so glad you liked it! It's just a bit of nonsense, but birthdays are for silliness. 😅

The Shadowsinger's Rapture
Poem in plain text below the break.
The Shadowsinger's Rapture
Golden as the sun at dawn My love walked down the stairs, Lovely as a spritely fawn She took me unawares.
Quiet as an owl in flight My love did cross the hall, Graceful yet in stealth of night Answer did she my call.
Comfort fell, my shadows cleared My love she could not miss, And the doe of beauty neared To offer me her kiss.

@swankii-art-teacher you win!!! I'm cackling. 😂
Funny idea: Azriel gets a book, but it’s a poetry book about Elain and other things in his life.
YES.
I want it.
It's like super sappy romantic poetry along with some Emo stuff thrown in.
Like:
I am sad
For Elain left
Since I was bad
Now my face is wet
Because of the tears I shed
Clearly I am not a poet! Maybe Az can do better.

Her bright laugh belied the motion,
As I laid her on the grass;
And we could hear the distant ocean
While she exposed my arse.
You mean this gem? That's peak romantic poetry right there, what are you talking about?! 💀😂
It Happened One Dawn

It Happened One Dawn
Jasmine filtered through the air As I came upon a sight, A female of such beauty rare— Eyes of chocolate, warm and bright.
Honey dripping from her skin Oh! To touch, to taste, to smell— My hands on her a mortal sin But the urge I could not quell.
Across the garden, through the mist We walked towards each other, It had been ages since we kissed— But first, we needed cover.
Close enough to see her face Her eyes now full of light; She wrapped her arms tightly in place, Then I spread my wings for flight.
It didn't take us very long To reach the summer garden; Between my heart and hers? A song, Against which we could not harden.
A longing glance, a brush of hands As I released her waist; She could make of me any demand, And I'd comply with haste.
Her scent changed, then so did mine— We were finally alone; The long months through which we did pine At last, we were at home.
Thumb on chin, her head tipped back And then I claimed her lips; She gave my chest a little smack As I took hold of her hips.
Her bright laugh belied the motion, As I laid her on the grass; And we could hear the distant ocean While she exposed my arse.
Corset unlaced and skirts pushed up, Leathers falling from my chest— Her gorgeous breasts were free to cup, Then suck at her behest.
Her moan was followed by a blush That spread across her skin, But my scarred hands made her hush— She'd be loud when I'm within.
Our want—nay, need—for pleasure grew, And I took her with a kiss, Her hair covered with morning dew, As we chased our mutual bliss.
The hot desire we could not hide, Near impossible to slake; Moving—thrusting—deep inside, Such noises she did make.
As we neared the peak, I thought To part with her was pain; But then beneath me she went taught— My love, my life. Elain.
For the lovely @wingedblooms - I promised you something spicy for your birthday, and here it is, just... very late, and a whole lot longer than I initially intended (though worth the wait, I hope). Happy belated birthday, you incredible human; I'm so lucky to call you a friend. This poem was inspired by that scene from Pride and Prejudice, 2005. 🖤

Once again, @casuallivi, your tags are life giving!
I love this headcanon so much! Did his shadows whisk away a poem he'd written about whispering skirts of a specific shade of cobalt? Perhaps... 😌
Elriel have such incredible Regency romance potential, I can't wait to see what happens.

😂🥺🥺 THANK YOU. I had to drag the second half of the poem out the gutter and back into romantic territory to finish it off, hence that sentence lol.

@casuallivi your tags are always brilliant, thank you so much! Though I can't claim the drawing 🙃 I just mucked around with a sticker from an editing app.
An Ode to Headache Powder
Poem in plain text below the break.
An Ode to Headache Powder
An ode to headache powder, from a hand so able; I look at it most every night, upon my bedside table. An aura of magic so pure, radiates from the bottle; But I hesitate to use it once, I'd hate to use the lottle.
The earplugs now sit next to it, there in pride of place; It's like she is right next to me, I can almost see her face. One day soon I'll make my move—undo the hurt and pain; And when she's in my arms this time, I won't let go again.
This is dedicated to the lovely @tswaney17; happy birthday, beautiful! You're a bright light in the fandom, and I hope your weekend is as amazing as you are. 🖤
