I LOVE the headcanon that Charles fell in love with Erik the moment he felt his mind. It makes so much sense with him jumping into the ocean within a minute of knowing Erik exists. Like yeah we know Erik is a badass nazi hunter at that point but Charles is just a twink academic LMAO he has no business jumping into the ocean like that!!! genuinely like one of the most romantic scenes I've ever seen in a movie, I melt every time I watch it.
