OK SO idk if anyone has done smth like this so I apologize if I'm pointing out the obvious- BUT THEORY (tinfoil hat ahh yap fest below)

so as we all know I have a lot of stuff going on in my brain regarding lltbp, but as I was writing smth I decided to do some research abt pierrots (smth I should've done a while ago being that I was one for Halloween 💀) AND I FINALLY FOUND SHIT TO BACK UP MY PREVIOUS THEORIES/ANALYSIS'S

Ok So take a look at this (view images in full)

So obviously we have a lot of symbolism of ISOLATION, which is a theme that has been implied in the canon and associated with the tour in many theories from around the fandom (especially mine lmao)

For example: tbp are probably (canonically) being held in a prison, aka the moat, which clearly has it's effects; inability to eat properly, physical abuse, and psychological damage perhaps? (Gerard having that "strong" of relationship towards the gentlemen, a literal DOLL mind you, hg losin it 💔) most of this points to themes of ISOLATION, negligence, abuse, etc.

Therefore the suicide bomber pierrot obviously can symbolize that, BUT WHAT IF I TOLD U I WAS GONNA DEFEND THAT MF

Okay SO, it isn't confirmed that the clerk and the clown are the same people, tho it is very very likely they are being they are both played by charlie Saxton

so let's go back to those screenshots rq,, I highlighted parts about FACADES and HIDING FEELINGS (basically to sum up what it says)

If we pay close attention we can see for the past couple of shows a change in Charlie's character in the past few shows; obviously we have the eye patch (I'll get to that later), change in mannerisms (nervousness/hesitance towards slapping and killing Gerard) and the infamous phone call crash out™. This all has the vibe of like "hey I'm a little unsure abt what's happening here..." But yet HE SAYS NOTHING, instead the clerk/clown continues working for the bland immoral dick taster..

NOW THE EYE PATCH THING

the eye patch could mean many things, one theory I saw and liked was that tgid noticed the clerk/clown was falling out of line and had him get a lobotomy as a form of reconditioning, which is possible and believable - BUT for this specific analysis-theory-thing I think the eye patch could represent having an eye on the black parade, as in secretly being on their side, now take note of the word secretly bc it is a big keyword in what I'm saying here

He has the eye patch to represent that bc he could be hiding his support, but the eye patch isn't the only thing that symbolizes this... GUESS WHAT. THE CLOWN TIES IT TOGETHER EVEN FUCKING MORE!!

Again back to the screenshots, we see that pierrots symbolizes hiding things, creating a different image for the public to deceive someone, and we see this with the little in-character-character-breaks.

He may be waking up to reality, realizing that what hes participating in is wrong, which explains the hesitance in harming Gerard, and at the end even the guilt, the panic, sobbing to whoever he's on the phone with. Home slice is DONE WITH TS

but he can't show that or he could get in trouble, killed even. So he puts on this facade to fool the dictator, concealing his true emotions towards the situation (as the screenshot suggests) while slowly making his alliance to the black parade under the table

AND YES I KNOW IVE BEEN SAYING THIS A LOT I KNOWWW 😭😭 but now I have the exact evidence to support my theories LET ME BE INSANE 😿💔🥀

Tl,dr: some of the symbolism of pierrot clowns, such as isolation and hiding true emotions and opinions, represent themes and potential character developments in the lltbp tour

put a lot of soul and brain power into this one so i'll let it count as a, very depressing, micro drabble thing idk

maybe the singer (aka gerard, bc, yk - CHARACTER) is so seemingly attached to that doll bc its the last thing he has other than his band.

im still very strong on the theory that the band is very mistreated in draag so i assume anything that they were all able to take with them after resurrection (if they were raised from the dead, which is a possibility) was taken away in cold blood.

maybe its a childhood toy? maybe hes storing some kind of object in it? (cough cough. a dagger. cough)

maybe its carrying some kind of spirit, like a guide, or just simply carrying whatever love and emotion the singer has left after all the pain he has and continues to endure.

maybe treating the doll like a child of his own is a way of coping the separation of someone, maybe his friends in the afterlife (again, if the parade was resurrected) children hes bonded with perhaps, or maybe just the separation of himself.

hes been forced to execute (probably) innocent people, forced to support someone as horrible as the dictator, punished for having any sense of self or sense of rebellion, forced to die a gruesome death over and over again but never really released by death. like hes trapped, dead but not able to cross over (or cross over again, if we're still supporting the resurrection idea)

thus maybe caring for the doll maternally is him trying to grip on to his sanity so he doesnt lose it.

so im brainstorming my giant ass master mcr au right, heaven help us comes on, i decide to look at the lyrics bc why not (i dont lsiten to the b sides that often) and i had been struggling to pull stuff from tbp for the black parade section of the au (yk, the fucking NUCLEUS OF THE AU, yk the part that TIES LITERALLY EVERYTHING TOGETHER)

So basically it's not an exact or professional storyline but here's the basics;

Plot: they all become friends and explore going to earth, making music, and being sillys! (And a possible killjoys au crossover for shits and giggles 👅)

Au info: in this au Gerard is named hesitant (Ik it sound weird but trust the process ok, I have more stuff coming out soon 😿), and is the same species as widow. VERY IMPORTANT: i DO make altercations to world history in this au, why? For the sake of a British accent, am I implying it is true or preaching it to be believed unironically? ABSOLUTELY NOT‼️‼️*said altercations will be talked abt in future posts covering (edit: nvm I let go of this idea 💀)

species/origin info: hes and demo r the same species and come from Jupiter, Ziggy is from mars (duh), crybaby is from Venus (also duh), and lola is from Pluto (pretend it's still a planet ok, JUSTICE FOR PLUTO 😿✊)

I'm still deciding if I should have lola speak an alien language, but other than that everyone else has decently understandable ways of tongue :)

hey guys so unfortunately my phone is broken right now my screen doesn't work very well, my phone is very glitchy I can barely even really type anything on the phone but unfortunately I can't get a new phone until September so answering asks and making text posts and writing, fanfiction is going to be very hard for me

but I will try to answer as many asks as I can on my mcr ask blog but other than that messaging and fanfiction text posts and stuff is probably going to be cut off a lot :(

actually the only way that I'm even making this large of a text post is because I'm using voice typing o another platform and then copy-pasting it onto Tumblr because on the Chrome format that I use for Tumblr doesn't allow voice typing and it's a whole thing 😭
