If you ever dream/have dreamed about me please do tell me, I would love to know! Maybe possibly I'd be slightly weirded out, if it was something extremely bizarre, *but* I am certain the level of my delightedness would be far above the weirdness, if there was any weird feeling at all, which I doubt.

Also I've had a few dreams that you've been in. Most of them I don't remember what you were doing, I just remember you were there, but I do remember the very first dream I had with you in it. We were in my bedroom sitting on my bed talking about Annaáuchiwee (Riser! Nikki! All the themes! This dream was during late Óhchikaape/very early COTC days, so I don't think we talked about Billie) and life stuff and then we went downstairs and I realized my parents were there so I introduced you. XD

Oh, actually, I realized just now that I do remember one other one. I was over at a friend's house with my family, and somehow it was near you, and I messaged you and we were making plans to meet up but I woke up before we could. There was a little more to it, but the details are fuzzy in my memory now.

Why does it feel weird and intimate to mention that someone was in even the most innocuous of your dreams? Sorry my subconscious decided to think about you for a second. You were a curator at an ice cream museum that was also my second grade classroom. If you even care.

Happy 1 year (and 1 month) anniversary to my first-ever published fic, Mending The Tears ❤️ I honestly had never dreamed I would publish any of my writing before this. But over time, as I wrote it, I decided why not share it? The Inkheart fandom is quite small and there's not a lot of fics out there, and I was happy with the quality of my work. The dialogue flowed so naturally when writing, so it was very enjoyable to create. I've since been overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of the comments I've received on it, and I will treasure them always.

I’m very excited for my latest craft experiment, where I rhythmically slap sale rank oil paint onto a canvas and I see how long it takes to dry so that I can finally touch the paint textures I stare at so longingly in museums. 12 hours in, still wet. I am beginning to think this might take longer than I thought which you can imagine is quite a burden, as I am absolutely horned up to rub this paint.

When I was looking through the prompts for Imladris Week a couple of months ago, I read “Imladris as a place” (for Day 4) and then “the magic of Vilya” (for Day 7) and I instantly came up with the idea for an Imladris Castle Glower AU.

For any Tolkien fans who know the Castle Glower/Tuesdays at the Castle series, you’ll immediately pick up on what I’m thinking: Imladris functioning like the Castle.

For any Tolkien fans who don’t know the Castle Glower series, or who vaguely remembers Tuesdays at the Castle as a book they read in their childhood and then forgot about, here’s all you need to know for this AU: Castle Glower is a magical castle that moves its rooms around every Tuesday.

And if you’re a Tuesdays at the Castle fan but haven’t read The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings—what are you doing? Go read that pronto :P (But also, this fic is definitely readable without the prior knowledge of Tolkien’s works, so I wouldn’t let that stop you. It’s just more fun if you have read any Tolkien books, or even watched any of the Middle-Earth movies.)

I had SO much fun coming up with the idea for this story and working out the details! I might end up writing more or sharing some of the snippets and ideas I wrote down for things that would happen in this AU version of Imladris, because I did have some thoughts.

Just made a new sideblog for conversational reblogs (and occasional posts)! I did this because I have realized that while I enjoy having conversations on here, I don't love how my main blog looks when I make lots of reblogs on it back and forth and back and forth very frequently. However, reblogging is the primary mode of communication on here, so I decided, why not have a blog primarily for that? We shall see how this goes.

apparently, it's world suicide prevention day.

I'm coming up on a year since my last attempt, which was the one that landed me in the ward for a few days. the timeframe is blurry. the other day something reminded me of something I'd done while inpatient: I can't remember what it was, but I was telling my brother about it. like the memories are there, but they're locked away.

most of last year, and a great deal of this year, is very, very vague in my memory. I've been dealing with suicidal ideation of varying constancy for... oh, I don't know how long. I used to keep track, but at some point I stopped keeping track, so I only know that it's been significantly over a year by now.

and look. I'm still here.

a few weeks ago, it was... bad. as in, 'figured out a specific method and acquired supplies with intent to use them shortly' type bad. lying to doctors, lying to friends, lying to family. (I do not condone this. if you are dealing with medical professionals, please be honest with them.)

anyway, as you can see, I didn't go through with it. (because frankly, given the amount of research I did and the failsafes I built into that particular plan, I'm pretty sure that if I'd made an actual attempt, it would have been either lethal or extremely close. it certainly without a doubt would have hospitalised me, if nothing else.)

I might at some point. as I've thought for a long time - I probably will, someday. and when I do, please forgive me, and remember I loved you all.

but for now, I'm still here. I'm still alive. I'm writing fanfiction right now, in fact, except for a brief break. I'm even happy sometimes. I drew cats the other day. yesterday I went for a beautiful walk in a botanic garden.

life is good, you know. it's worth living. the darkness never truly overcomes the light; it's always there. even now, an hour after night has fallen in my timezone, I can hear the kookaburras laughing.

Maedhros had to swallow back a sudden wave of emotion at this; it was one thing to know his cousins were in this battle with him, but another to see them actively coming to the defense of the house of Fëanor in saving one of theirs.
