Hey guys, let's take back the terms "faith" and "hope" from organized religion. They need a rebrand from "blind belief in what you are told" and "witless, unhealthy optimism". I propose the following:

Faith: A belief that everything will turn out the way that it's supposed to and that no matter what, good or bad, I don't need to worry.

Hope: The desire that things work out in a way that I want and will enjoy.

URGENT CONCEPT:

A d&d game where the party plays as the spirit team of a particular fictional individual. The particular individual lives in the real world and does things like go to work and grocery shopping. The party, whom the individual (at least initially) cannot see or hear in any way, has to keep them from falling into hijinks with non-physical and non-visible (to the individual) entities and traps as well as helping them avoid physical hazards and social blenders by using their magic and attacks, etc to influence objects, animals, lights and other assorted conditions in the real world.

For example, the party sorcerer receives guidance from their patron that the individual will become involved in a fatal car accident. The party must prevent this! Possible solutions include: the artificer shorting out the starter in their car, the druid charming a bird to attack them on their way to the car, the wizard casting a spell in order to make their keys temporarily invisible.

This entire concept gets even funnier if you're playing with a group of witches, lightworkers or otherwise spiritual folks.
