I decided to get in on the Art vs. Artist trend

I am a very mixed medium artist. I love acrylic and polymer clay the most. 

I also snuck an extra square in there because I think my make up is art too :P

After a year of developing prototypes, artist Jon Almeda successfully created a teeny, tiny pottery wheel that allows him to spin clay into quaint little pots.

Almeda makes vases, bowls, decor, and even tea kettles that are small enough to sit atop a piece of Scotch tape.

These pieces are sturdy enough to undergo standard glazing and firing, then transform into fully embellished ceramics.

My oven is finally working again!! I can go back to making some more oven-baked polymer clay goodness so place some orders please!!

While my oven was out, I gave resin another shot and made these fancy bevs. I didn’t make the glassware myself so I am unsure if I will sell these but I’m glad my proof of concepts worked.

Here is the final product! An icy sno cone necklace! Did you guess the right colours? I found out that these are the traditional colours for a sno cone. All along I thought they were red, white and blue. I’m very happy with how this turned out!

Whoops! Forgot to share the 3 ornaments I made this year! They are plastic terrarium / aquarium ornaments. I used plastic because the glass ones I bought broke. I only made these as tester type gifts but since they turned out well I might make more next year! No resin in these thank goodness lol

Now that everyone has received their gifts I can finally share the little “aquariums” I made for my friends! The creatures are made with clay, the shells and starfish are glass and the moss is real! I then filled them with resin to give them the underwater look. The resin looks great in real life but it’s hard to photograph so I’m sharing the pre-resin pics I had a lot of fun making these but the resin was stressful lol

Some millions of years ago, cosmicqt won my very first contest and requested a Matcha Cheesecake Charm. Whenever I make any type of cake, 8 pieces are made so she happily got her one charm and I still have seven in my jewelry box. I made sure she was okay with me selling these and approval was given!
