An album cover I made for a friend. Go listen to it where you listen to music! Its a wicked instrumental electric guitar track. He composed and played all of the instruments himself!

In the process of making my duck head for Toonfest 2025. Cannot wait. Its a little lumpy right now, but after I fill it with drywall spackle and sand it down, we're cruising.

Somewhere I recall you either saying something about or making comment on "lineless" art or something of the sort, where colours touch each other rather than lines being responsible for details or separating sections. I can't find that post or where you said stuff about that, but I think about it at least once a week since I saw it mentioned.
Whenever I draw, the few things that I do draw, I never use colour, only pencil, so the very existence of my drawing is based upon its lines. Really makes me think, to me no lines is very outside the box but it makes a lot of sense! It's just like painting, painting is a composition of arranged colours.
Here's one of my drawings just to share ๐ I like coins a lot, passionate coin collector, So I scribble out my ideas for coins I may someday make myself.
(From like 2017, concept for a sixpence)
Wow! I love the composition and design of the coin. It looks like it could be a legitimate design for a mint press. Don't meet many people who like the little art on coins (I cannot stop staring at those little bastards but I've never tried designing one, so you're already farther than me lol.)
Honestly even in pencil medium, "lineless" art is still very achievable. It just takes a delicate hand. Or a really strong hand, if you're making heavy shadows.
Pencil lineless is one of my favorite things to do, and I wish I had better examples, because it's been so long since I've done it. BUT as a BAD example in my drawing program:
Ignore horrible anatomy and shading, but you get the gist. Instead of using hard pencil lines, you can lightly or severely shade blocks to give the illusion of depth, even moreso than with a pencil used normally. Honestly if you're just getting into lineless art, I absolutely recommend pens and pencils to start with because it forces you to work with light and dark only, instead of complicating and confusing it with trying to add colors right away. Then once you can make a decent looking picture with just a pencil, it's WAY easier to transition to colors.
If you don't feel like jumping off the deep end by drawing human form or objects yet, you can always start with basic exercises and scribbles with varying pressures to get an idea of how to create different shades with one pencil, like this
A ton of pencil drawings I do don't have any outlines. I just start shading on top of shading and it builds up into something recognizable. (Ex: that one drawing I already posted, below)
Not sure if any of this makes sense, but I hope it does. On a different note it means a ton that a post that long ago has still stuck with you. There's plenty of artists I love whose quotes I still remember from 10 years ago, so it's super endearing to know that what I say might stick around as long! Have a good night, mate.

The Bear hits so close to home. I've worked in kitchens my whole life and this is the most accurate portrayal of kitchen service I've ever witnessed. Such great attention to detail. I even worked under a chef who looked just like Carmen who also had lady name. (I hope chef Mallory is doing well. He was just as stressed as Carmy.)
