Just found out that my work is gonna let me go in a few months and there’s a part of me that genuinely wants to die.

I find it absolutely hysterical that out of all of the Nintendo franchises fucking DONKEY KONG has the most kickass OST. Like you’re just a monkey riding a swordfish and the most gorgeous music you’ve ever heard in your life is just there. You’re fighting a seal and you hear the most intense metal ever. It makes no sense and I love it for that.

I just don’t understand why my brain can’t recognize happiness when it’s right in front of me.

I was miserable, longed for something better, finally got it. Now I’m still miserable, and I long for something else.

I’m starting to think I’m not supposed to feel satisfied or happy. Why do I keep telling myself I have dreams when I know I will ultimately feel nothing once I reach them?

I have a soft spot for the weird tradition of having the actual artists record gibberish versions of songs for sims soundtracks because it enabled me to do this awful bit where I'd randomly insert a simlish version of a track into a playlist and see how long it took people to ask what the fuck was going on

When I was around 14-15 I was hanging out with a friend and we were walking to the store when my friend’s mother called her and asked her to get something from the store.

They then ended the call by both saying ”I love you” to each other, and I was so confused because I thought that was something they only said in movies and I had never heard my parents tell me something like that.

That’s when I learned that never being told that you are loved is not a normal thing.

I’m 27 now and I have massive issues with forming relationships with people and expressing and recieving affection.
