#whenever i see ‘no one should be jailed for life’ or ‘no one should be put to death’ followed by ‘except x type of criminal’#…no. u don’t get it. these are people too. everyone deserves the means to learn and be given a second chance#some random christian on pinterest was arguing w me about nba guys kneeling during the national anthem#and she was like ‘most of the black ppl killed by the police were criminals anyway’#and my response was ‘even if they were - which most of them weren’t and aren’t - no one deserves to be put to death. especially not for-#-petty crimes like traffic violations or theft?? where is jesus’s kindness in your beliefs???’ and she deleted her replies lol#like if u think about it for more than 1 minute you realize hmm actually i would want a second chance and to be treated like a human being
