"The palace?" Lapis asked, mouth gaping slightly. "Wow! Man, waking up to a view like that every morning sounds absolutely incredible! Shame you can't remember it- was it your childhood home or something?"

S' annoyance seemed to grow the longer the two chatted. They shot a glare up at the Reuniclus, but made no verbal attempt to stop him- at least, not yet.

(@ask-pokecats) Annalisé approaches two. She waves at them.

"Bonjour! Oh, dieu! I zink I've never been at ze metro before... I'm sure to take a ride one day. OH, I want to introduze myself. I'm Annalisé, what 'bout you?"

The Reuniclus beamed at the Meowstic. “Nice to meet you! I’m Lapis, and this is-“

“S,” the Buneary cuts in, looking up at the much taller Pokemon with a look of mild annoyance. “My name is S.”

“Anyways, if you’ve never used the subway before, I’d be happy to help,” Lapis continued. “I took it almost every day for my old job. Oh! And your accent- are you from out of town? Is it….Kalosian? Right…?”

“Two civilians talking to me in one day…that never happens!” Lapis murmured under their breath, before turning to Scarlett, speaking louder. “No, we aren’t headed to an interview- We both actually already have a job!” He started. “Well- okay, it isn’t technically a job, but it’s job-adjacent. We aren’t paid, but we do-“

“We’re investigating a report on a new mystery dungeon that supposedly appeared a few days ago,” S cut the Reuniclus off from their ramblings. “I would recommend staying away from 11th street and the southern outskirts- the dungeon’s existence hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.”

Only two Pokemon, adorned with sashes annd matching badges, exited the subway car. The Reuniclus waved back, albeit a little awkwardly, to the other passengers- to his dismay, no one payed any mind.

The Buneary glanced at him, a mildly annoyed expression on their face. “Stop wasting your time,” they reprimanded, rolling their eyes. “It’s supposed to be up ahead, right?”

“Oh- yes, I think so!” The Reuniclus nodded, quickly shaking off the downcast expression he displayed a moment prior. “Good,” they nodded, promptly ascending up the set of stairs with a sigh. “Let’s hope this goes smoother than last time.”
