How's life been treating you recently

Life's been pretty good! I got a job a few weeks ago (yay!) and I started seeing a councilor and taking some anti-depressant medication. Unfortunately, though, I...don't think I've been kind to myself, recently. Also, I've been struggling with sleep issues for the past week. So, I guess it'd be more accurate to say that life's a mixed bag right now, lol?

My memories got scrambled during some time in my life and I do not remember most things about my own life as a result. I guess I got lucky that I still remembered my full name even with such a condition.

S sighed. “I don’t remember how I arrived in the city, what my life was like before, my friends or family….nothing. Shasta says I likely have some form of amnesia….”

“…..To be frank, I’m not sure if I’m glad I didn’t retain any memories…..it makes focusing on my job much easier, at least.”

"Oh, ey, aren't you funky-looking!" Eliza chirps as she takes a good look at S, eyes focused on their horns. "I mean, I'm pretty sure Bunearies don't come with.. though, it's been a while since I've talked to a Buneary.." she thinks aloud, making hand motions on her own head.

After that she finally addresses S. "Your horns, are they like, inherited?"

The Buneary huffs, glaring at the Helioptile. “I have no clue if they’re from my parents or not- I don’t even remember them, let alone why or how I got my antlers.”

“…..it’s mainly just a gut feeling, but I think I wasn’t born with them.”

"Yeah, I'd say I'm relatively new to it!" Lapis replied. "I've only been working in the field for about a year or so!"

"The Guild I'm part of is...well, among other things, pretty small and obscure- and new! It was founded only two years ago- so, considering all that, I'm not really surprised! You probably wouldn't have heard of it even if you visited the city! They...uh, don't exactly like to talk about it too much, heh..."

(@ask-cembre-guild) "Wait- your name's Nick?" Lapis asked approaching the Raboot. "That's such a funny coincidence!! One of my coworker's is named Nick, and they're a Raboot, too!"

"Hey, you gotta admit it's a good one though. You new in the business of guild work? I'm surprised I've never heard of your place before." Nick responded, taking his attention away from picking his mission momentarily.

S nods, rapidly writing as much down in their notepad as they could. After looking through the information again, they frowned. "So....movies work the same way for both....interesting....," they murmured. "Thank you for the information- it was very helpful," the Buneary said louder, turning to the Eevee.

(@ask-cembre-guild) "....you're familiar with humans, right?" S asked, approaching Reiha. "If possible, could you....share what you know with me?

Reiha stands up and does a little stretch before answering. "I don't just know humans, I am one. So yes, I do know a lot about humans and their society as well as their technology." He sits down. "I can tell you about many things. Just ask which one you want to know!"

"Do you want to know about the internet? It is an interconnected web of many computers, all sharing and saving data from many of it's peers. Connected by many kilometers of wires across the ocean. All to create this web."

"I could tell you about our transit system, which has busses, trains and many more! All made to move people from one place to another very efficiently and make life better for people who need to go to other places a lot."

"There is more! There is-... Sorry, I'm rambling, aren't I? My point is, I know a lot about human society as I lived in it and I myself have lived until adulthood in such a condition."

His ears droop a bit as he seems a bit sad after talking about all that. "I wish I could go back to those times again, not be stuck in the forest as an eevee."

You said you have an "old job", I wonder, what is your old job anyway? Was it boring? Was it exiting? What made you quit or were you fired from your old job?

“Oh, don’t worry about it- you’re good!” Lapis smiled, shooting the Espeon a thumbs-up. “Um…okay….what was the first question…..Oh! Right!”

“I was lucky enough to get hired by my dream company!….Unfortunately, well……the dream was a bit better than the reality of it, heh…..I worked overtime almost every day, my boss wasn’t the greatest….but it felt nice to know that I was working for such a reputable place….I’m still not sure whether I miss it, compared to this, heh.”

“As….for why I left, though….,” the Reuniclus sighed. “Well…..”

”They- Arceus knows how- screwed up so badly they incorrectly flagged a large party as a potential mystery dungeon site. I wasn’t a part of the group that went out to take care of it, thank Arceus, but that little incident wasted our time and effort, and probably tarnished our public image even more.”

“Truth be told, I have no idea,” The Buneary explained. “Whenever I try to look back and recall my name now, the only thing I get is ‘S’.”

They sighed. “I’m lucky I even remember a single letter….” - - -

“My my, how peculiar.” The Yveltal swoops down from where he’s overseeing the crowds. “I’ve never seen pokemon like you two before. Are you two… friends? Coworkers, perhaps?”

He chuckles, “You must be quite close to travel together. I’ve seen how travel brings out the worst in people…”

“We’re coworkers,” S insisted. “We just met two months ago. If you ask me, that’s not nearly enough time to develop a friendship. I’m only ‘traveling’ with him right now because my job requires it.”

“Hah, I’m just glad you see us as a team!” Lapis chuckled, a smile plastered onto his face. “And, well, I’m not giving up on you yet- I’m confident we’ll be friends one day!”

S sighed. “Mhm.”

I'd love to hear you kinda outline the design process for the characters on this blog! What made you choose the Pokemon species you did?

OHOHOHO OOOH YES OKAY

So, S and Lapis are inspired/based off two characters from Milgram: Es (the protagonist) and Mikoto (my favorite character)! So, their Pokemon designs are inspired by the canon character's designs!

S is a Buneary because the little mascot for Milgram is a jackalope- additionally, Buneary starts with THE LOWEST friendship level of any non-legendary Pokemon, which definitely matches Es' character arc in the series!

I chose Reuniclus for Lapis because...well. That's a bit of a secret for now ;3c

Here's a few charts below to explain my process of translating and designing further!

Have any of you heard of the Milgram Project? :3c

It's a pretty obscure, but VERY VERY GOOD, psychological horror anime series, made up of audio dramas and absolutely INCREDIBLE music videos made by Deco*27! It's a very thought provoking series, really makes you think about your morals, and criticizes the prison system and the way they treat criminals- I'd HIGHLY recommend checking it out (please please please I need more people to know about this absolute gem YFFYYYGYGFY)

BASICALLY, ACG is me going "Oh hey!! What if I made a silly little PMD au for Milgram, my current hyperfixation, and, for fun, made it an ask blog???"

But yeah!! Overall this is just a very self-indulgent crossover lol
