We’re all waiting for Jester to Parent Trap her parents. It’s only a matter of time. In the meantime I’ve made a movie poster based on one of the Lindsay Lohan Parent Trap movie posters.
In March of 2019 I did my first Fjorester drawing and now after last episode it was time to make another! I was a Widowjest shipper when it seemed like Travis wasn’t going to do romance, but I can’t deny that Fjorester is just too cute!
I originally planned to do something simple, but Céli’s design is so pretty that I wound up spending like 2 days going all out while trying new techniques. Still need to study skin and lighting more, but I love how the eyes turned out
My D&D character: Mirabelle, pact of the Archfey warlock. (And her weasel familiar, Lilith)
This started as making new art for my character (last photo was my first drawing of her). Then I thought it’d be fun to make it into an art nouveau design. Then I tried to emulate the style in things like the hair (I love Mucha’s work). After a while of trying to add things I realized the background got away from me and got way too busy so I completely scrapped it and simplified it to put the focus back on my subject and just took the flower elements from the previous background. I’m really happy with it now and might even print this out as a poster for myself 😊
Last night while watching YouTube I was stuck with inspiration by... The Hotdog King! Give him all your bells! (just realized I forgot the stripey socks 😭)
Cordelia Stormforge was my first D&D character and has gone through a few redesigns by now. The 3rd picture is my first art of her from June 2018, when I knew next to nothing about her and the game. The 2nd is from May 2019, a year into our campaign, when her character and gear is established. We ended that campaign a while ago, but one of my party’s players decided to run a one shot where most of us brought back party members and so I thought it only fitting to redesign her one more time. For the one shot I changed her from a fighter to a barbarian since it fit her better, made sense with her modified backstory, and I just really wanted to try out another class. Since I wasn’t trying to spend too much time on it I started by tracing over my past pose to save time so I could focus on details.
Do any of you have the same problem of redesigning your PC constantly?
Finished my reference sheet for my backup character! I settled on naming her Delphinium (as suggesting by @nissaerith ) which has a few good nickname options in it. She’s an Elf, Necromancy Wizard. She studies that school particularly out of a fascination with the idea of overcoming the one thing that is truly inevitable. Not so much for power, but curiosity.
I just realized I never shared this drawing I did of my current D&D PC! She’s basically the Aurelia character I posted about before, but with some modifications for the campaign I’m now in. Her name is Mirabelle and she’s an Archfey pact Warlock and a con artist.

Last month I started a self portrait based on a selfie I took after Rise of Skywalker as a means of practicing digital painting. I think it’s finally time for me to step back and call this done, even if there’s still more things I could fix. This has been a great way to practice proportion, color, and lighting. It’s also been an excellent reminder of why it’s important to step away from your work when you hit a block and come back to it later with fresh eyes. Each picture is from a different day of working once I decided it was time to step away. Always take progress pictures when working on a big project so you can actually see the progress you’re making. I know sometimes it can be easy to lose sight of how much work we’ve actually put into a piece when we don’t document the process so one goal I have for myself now is to take progress pics and share them!
Practicing painting digitally since it’s something I’ve never really mastered and it’s been so long since I’ve tried realism. I’m really happy with the results so far. I’m using a pic of myself from when my friends and I dressed up for Rise of Skywalker as my reference photo.

Rewatching The Night Before Critmas to get into the season and I had to draw my favorite elf, Chutney. Travis is a comedic genius and I hope Chutney gets a chance at revenge some day. "WE CAN'T COMPETE WITH AMAZON!"
More designs are up in my Redbubble shop! Consider buying something for loved ones for the holidays and helping me with funds for my own Christmas shopping this year!
Leo Camacho shared some pics from a photo shoot on his Instagram and they make for great reference photos. My first 2 attempts from other photos were terrible but this one turned out not too bad I think. Been a while since I’ve done any portraits of real people, how’d I do?
