My two cents on the current Otes situation

Major go rush AND sevens spoilers!!!

I don't hate this. Not as much as everyone else by any means.

Now, I would've preferred Yuamu or Kaidoul as Otes as those were a lot more satisfying and made sense and fit with the known Otes lore. But I don't actually hate the fact that Yuhi is Otes.

The reveal scenes were well done, it had emotional impact, and I am excited to see how things will continue!

I was very much dissapointed at first because Yuhi was the most boring option possible, but then again, I was also dissapointed that in Sevens Swirly was the 6th sibling and nowadays I love the fact that Swirly is the 6th sibling, so I genuinely wanna see how this will go! I might be disappointed now, but it might also end up being amazing!

Like, hello, we finally have the biggest mystery in the bridge era revealed??? I wanna see where this goes??? I'm excited! We still have like 2 arcs left, which means 2 arcs of Otes shenanigans, which I am all for!

I WANT to see how Yuhi will do as a villain, how he will do as Otes! I want to see this episode subbed, too, to see the full context of his and Yuamu's conversation.

Tldr: I'm disappointed at the identity, but I don't hate this, and I am excited to see how Go Rush will continue! I am excited that one of the biggest mysteries was finally solved!

I love how the writing gives more atuff to theorize about and mysteries to solve than the previous series. They also use up small details revealed in early episodes late in the series, and I love it because it means every detail is important! They're writing if female characters is so much better too!

Also I love Yuga as a protagonist, and Yuo and Yuamu as a characters and I could write MANY esseys on why I love them so much

What are your favorite things about the rush era?

Personally, for me, it is how random side characters can become plot-important like Saburamen (Menzaburo Omori) and you can probably write a whole essay about the character.

To add to this, because Kaidoul being Otes makes a lot of sense:

Asaka makes the physical copy on monster reborn in Go Rush, but that doesn’t make her its creator, because in Sevens we see Swirly, Yuo, and the Proprietaress all make physical copies of the card and none of them are considered to be the creators of it. This means the creator of the card is whoever came up with the concept. As in, Kaidoul.

It also explains a lot of the stuff Otes does with the relic in sevens, like moving it around, making holograms appear, ect.

Yudias/Kaidoul (I'll explain why later) being Otes is actually interesting and not bad to me.

Yudias doesn't really have a future in Sevens as far as we know. His kind had "exceeded" their purpose. He's been kinda sidelined for a while and the cast hasn't been that much on his side after this Arc. He's selfless but the people around him aren't and now giving up who he is, He isn't gonna be the same anymore. Now there is a loophole to Yudias = Otes is that Otes is was immune to Monster Reborn. Yudias being affected could disprove him as Otes was affected because he was the creator Monster Reborn.

But a friend told me Kaidoul made Monster Reborn in Go Rush which would mean...🤔💥

Yes it would be easier to assume Asaka because she made the physical card but he created the data and did he research. Without him, Asaka wouldn't have anything to work with

i think it's really funny that in sevens, whenever yuga wanders off alone to do something off-screen you just kind of end up like 'oh look at him go! he'll be back. i wonder what he figured out, i wonder what kind of trap he's setting up for the future'.

but in go rush whenever he wanders off you just end up thinking 'no come back! you can't do everything alone, what is this solving? come back and be part of the gang, come back and help. i hope nothing bad's happened to him'.

personally, the difference between his safety status is really interesting between the two. sevens set up a world that wasn't without consequences but generally was safe for the child characters. but go rush has completely different physical consequences. like being turned into a cat for two years.
