Buzos de todo el mundo vienen a la isla a ver escuelas de cientos de individuos. Este tiburón puede alcanzar los 4 metros de longitud, un gran tamaño considerando que al nacer miden solamente 40 cm aproximadamente.

Sharks come in all sorts of glorious shapes, sizes, and colours! In fact that's one of the things we love most about them!!

Worldwide, there are over 500 sharks, 600 skates and rays, and 50 chimaera. All unique and amazing in their own ways, and perfectly adapted to the environment in which they live!

From tiny Pygmy Lanternsharks that glow in the dark. To impressive filter-feeding Whale Sharks that can grow up to 17m long. Epaulette Sharks that use their fins to walk over coral reefs. And bizarre deep-sea Goblins with transparent skin. We could go on and on...

Did you know that coral reefs provide an important ecosystem for life underwater, protect coastal areas by reducing the power of waves hitting the coast, and provide a crucial source of income for millions of people? Coral reefs teem with diverse life. Thousands of species can be found living on one reef.

Coral reefs face many threats from local sources, including physical damage or destruction from coastal development, dredging, quarrying, destructive fishing practices and gear, boat anchors and groundings, and recreational misuse such as touching or removing corals.

Save and protect our reefs to ensure our future!

Know your sea turtles with this poster, on World Turtle Day (23rd May). There are 7 extant species- the Loggerhead, Green, Hawksbill, Flatback, Olive Ridley, Kemp's Ridley and the Leatherback Turtle, the Leatherback being the largest and the Kemp's Ridley, the smallest. Sea turtles are found in every ocean in the world, except at the poles. The Flatback Turtle is the only exception, being restricted to the seas around Australia.

Most sea turtles are endangered or vulnerable, owing to several threats such as hunting, poaching, loss of habitat and nesting sites, pollution, plastic and fishing debris, and getting caught as bycatch by fishing vessels.
