I am not over Gerald calling Shadow son in Shadow Generations. That's his boy, that's his real son boy that he has to say goodbye to. He's so upset he put Shadow in this position from the very beginning, but he loves him and he's so glad to have created him and I fucking CAN'T.

Gerald let Maria and Shadow spend time together. He saw that Shadow won't hurt her and he let them be friends. This is so important. He called them "kids" and also when he says "they want to take Shadow away from us" - he cared about Shadow too and realized that he is just a kid just like his granddaughter. Gerald was definitely a good grandpa and a good guy before Maria got killed.

okay so i’ve never played or even watched satbk (except for maybe like. the first hour) but you got me invested in lansoni and a scene popped into my head where like

they’ve found out sonic has to leave really soon and it’s probably the last conversation he gets before then and he’s talked so much about everything with lancelot, including how his relationship with him has also untangled a lot of his feelings for shadow but he doesn’t know if it’s reciprocated and he feels guilty just at the thought of acting on them anyway

and lancelot’s like “if there truly is another me in your universe, who makes you feel the same way as I, then pursue him. if not for yourself, then for me” — the last “me” sort of referring both to himself and shadow — because he can’t imagine a version of himself that isn’t in love with sonic, and sonic’s just like overwhelmed with emotion and they share one last teary kiss

this ask has plagued me since the day i got it
