When I was 13 I was in a pretty toxic friendship and also got bullied from my classmates. During that time I also discovered hetalia, and my favourite character was Russia. So my only coping method for when I got bullied or had a hard time, was reading x Reader Fanfictions where Russia protected the Reader. Because of how these texts used to comfort me, Russia has really grown onto me and I think he will never really leave my heart.

I kinda love how some hetalia fanworks are so far from the starting point that it's practically original content. Some of y'all don't give a flying fuck about nation personifications and are just making human au white boy yaoi with endless headcanons on how they make dinner and some of y'all don't give a flying fuck about the fujoshi bait unserious tone of the source material and are making dark serious historical nation personifications about geopolitics with 14 ocs and 2 canon characters who are practically ocs. And shout out to the fanon 2p enjoyers. I feel like you'd enjoy yourself more in entirely different fandoms but whatever! I like seeing a bunch of stuff even if it's only vaguely related, if I don't like or care for it I move on.

pruliet tops all the liet ships ever. i love lietbel and lietpol but pruliet... ohh... YOU HAVE MY HEART!!!!!

i love how these two have unresolved tension even after the wars. i love how prussia tries to help liet but liet always gives him the cold shoulder and his body language is so OBVIOUS that he hates prussia. also they are an interesting dynamic because theyre both nations who experienced trauma and have different trauma responses. like i need an angst fic of these two being hella codependent with eachother im not normal

I know that people who ship certain ships get a lot of hate ( ships like spermano, usuk, ect) and while these ships are not for me i am happy other people can enjoy them

The problem is that I've seen some people assume that the reason i head cannon them as siblings is because i dislike there ship.

My preferences on who i make platonic or not are not all because of your ship and some people don't realize that

even in fan works it's hard to find fics of her having fun or being silly on her own, it always ties back to Russia.

don't get me wrong I like Russia too. but why does everything about belarus have to include him? it's tiring- if I wanted Russia content I'd look for it. but I want to see belarus happy WITHOUT him
